I am no event/race organiser but this is something i have wanted to do for ages. This event will have teams from 2 to 4(no reason really)who will be issued a MAP with your start and finish point. Maps will be downloaded to those whom can and the others can just ride blind following the map. When you reach your destination,each team will collect a new MAP, cooler box,2 man tent with sleeping bags and an instant disposable braai with their race numbers on. The cooler box will contain drinks,braai pack,rolls,salad and food items for the following days ride. (and a 20l water container for the solo panel shower) Yes,you will pitch your tent,shower,make your braai etc etc. I am hoping to get 10 mates together this year to give it a trial run? Will start with a 2 day ride to test the waters? I am aware that i would need permission to ride on pvt property What are your thoughts on this? Any advice would be appreciated.
