  1. Firstly cleats gives you a push and pull action which increases torque with less power. Secondly it gives a better stroke action=less wear on joints/better circular motion. The stiffer shoe soles allow for better force transfer too. Unless you plan to drive up a hill and cycle down it-cleats are a must.
  2. Unless your Lance-leave all that crap alone!(supliments) dried fruits during rides salt on your food water, water, water! warm up before and stretch after time in the saddle is the only way. Tandem riding?get a review mirror Did you ever consider that the misses is peddling less then you? That would get the legs going lol

  5. Farmer Glen(sani2c founder) has now insisted that all rider put their race numbers on all food sources with a permanent marker. Spot checks are conducted randomly at the start's. This will not solve the problem outright but it's a contribution.
  6. Stop and pick it up if it's lying there, but if you see someone litter? against job creation?what the hell are you babbling on about? I suppose the animals have no role in your ideal world? Because i am a mountain biker,i try my best to keep our names on the list of avid "GREEN" people.
  7. Being a KZN chap, what distance was that?40km?on a road bike? Must be a shi.... load of climbing ?
  8. Name and shame for sure i say! Even whip out the cel and take a pic. Why the hell should anyone be the guilty party for identifying litterers? Whether they are 12 or 60,it's still not healthy. I don't allow my kids to throw litter in our yard?please-focus on the issue here-littering!

  22. With all these hijackings, stabbings etc for the purpose of stealing a bike,is there no possible way bikes can be chipped with a tracking device? After a bike is taken can it not be activated and traced? Surely word would spread and this kind of crime would decline? Also considering the price of bikes today. This would also decrease our insurance premiums slightly?
