  1. Go to their website. There is a section for stolen goods somewhere where you fill in the details. It gets sent to all their branches.
  2. So, how dangerous is it really to ride in a bunch like that? From what I've experienced from a motorist's point of view when approaching a bunch like this is 1) yes its annoying, 2) I notice them, 3) I slow down and wait till its safe to pass. Not quite the same experience when cycling alone. Statistically, I'm wondering if anybody can confirm this, but how many accidents have there been of cars knocking cyclists in a bunch vs the cyclist on his own?
  3. Sure thing. Life jacket = wetsuit, baggy shorts = whatever you can fit under the wetsuit.
  4. Ja, dont worry about the bike. They are very welcoming.
  5. So, it seems most online stores are selling everything except shimano/campag skewers. Are they relatively common, ie I can walk into any lbs?
  6. Great stuff. Thanks guys!
  7. Thanks. So the weight advantage of this skewer (38g) is gone since you have to ride with a special alan key. Or would a standard key that is on one's multi tool do the job?
  8. Hi All, I'm in the process of purchasing some skewers for my road bike, and just wondering if anybody has any experience with these Aest Ti skewers. http://www.cwcycles....ages/yqr-05.jpg I see it does not have the quick release levers and just wondering how they work.
  9. So would he also do carbon frames or is there someone else you guys would recommend?
  10. So what are the advantages of the 26" over that of the 29", or even 27.5" fans...
  11. Nah, earned my IM goodies, will damn well wear them
  12. I've pondered and implimented this myself, slowing down behind the cyclist until there are no more cars from ahead. It really is a few seconds. What I find though is the inpatience from the vehicle behind me, or rather the perceived impatience, so there is a feeling that one should try and please them as well. So I think once you can get over this perception and just ignore whats happening behind you, a few seconds of your time might just save that life.
  13. Crankbrothers
  14. damn, can't get this embedding thing right. Here's the link
  15. Ok, so can I throw a gyro in the works?
  16. So normal CB cleats will not fit on road shoes? Sorry, road shoes are an unknown to me
  17. Hi all, Need some advise. I just became the proud owner of a Felt B2 TT bike, but need to purchase some pedals. My background is mtb'ing on which I use crank brothers eggbeaters. I also have eggbeaters on my road bike and don't have any problem with them since I use the same shoes. But now with the latest addition I have the choice of also putting some eggbeaters on or totally convert to road pedals. I'm planning on purchasing new shoes anyway. So, are there any disadvantages of using eggbeaters on a road/TT bike (performance wise), except maybe for the odd look I might get from the purists (not that I really care)? Cheers
  18. Dude, you alright? Glad you got out alive, though. This seriously sucks and I'm sorry for your loss
  19. This is a good point, which is where I think visibility is probably the most crucial factor. Put on a decent pair of lights, front and back, and put them in strobe mode. In day time. Its amazing what a difference a strobe does to catch one's attention vs a fixed light. The amount of times I've only noticed a cyclist (no lights) when almost next to him, vs those having proper lights in strobe mode. And no, the cute little red led is not an option, unless you're riding at night. I have one of those magic shine lights with the huge battery pack. Look like a christmas tree, but I know I'm visible. Cyclist seem to think that because its daytime you are visible, which is far from the truth. Big groups are visible, and although annoying, inconsiderate etc etc, they are visible and are rarely run over. Its the bloke all on his own thats in trouble
  20. I would recommend you doing the two day TI course.
  21. Thanks Guys. Thats a big NO then. @Slowbee. No probs. will change asap
  22. Hey guys, I'm new to the tri-scene and the area, but would like to get some swimming done in the sea for ironman training. Are there some of you who swim there regularly as I am a bit concerned about safety, ie sharks, not knowing the area and all. Thanks
  23. Cheap option: Take a clothes peg and piece of cardboard. Makes hellava noise
  24. What, the running over of cyclists...?
