  1. Thanks for the advice guys! I contacted a company in Cape Town that specializes in belts. Bought a one for R110 for a test ride and used it for almost 2 weeks now with no issues at all. Compared to R2500!!!??? Also ordered another belt from the RSOnline link above which is apparently a good make just for in case. Yes, I get the Gates belt is a good make that should last very long (mine lasted 2 years) but R2500 is extremely expensive and greatful not having to pay that to keep on training. Love the Wahoo Kickr and with this being the only part that would probably need replacement, I'm happy to have found a way to do this at a fraction of the cost initially anticipated.
  2. Thanks @Dexter-morgan GT 5M 170T 15 Seems it would be 5M Pitch, 170 teeth and 15mm wide.
  3. I need a replacement belt for my Kickr 1. I phoned Wahoo this morning and apparently no stock of this with a ridiculously long waiting time as it is getting ordered from overseas i.e. 2-3 weeks. Any chance of other stock of this item? This extremely frustrating. No training for weeks it seems with a product that is supposedly up there when it comes to after sales service. I had only good service thus far from Wahoo but this is really not great. Based in Cape Town.
  4. Thanks Demetri! Gravel bike it is then...
  5. Route OK for gravel bike?
  6. You can link other devices there but (Garmin, Fitbit, etc.) but not apple. It only gives instructions on how to link apple via the Discovery app.
  7. May have been asked here... I want to link an apple watch not bought via Discovery. Don't see the apple health option on 'Link Devices or Apps' on the Discovery app. Seems only thsi option available if linking the app bought via Discovery.
  8. Won't miss it again!
  9. Thanks -Az-! Think we managed to get a lift back. Hope all goes according to plan.
  10. Need a lift for one of our riders to be at the airport at 16h00 (departure time = 17h00). Only small luggage bag. Can leave anytime after finish (probably anytime after 13h00/13h30. Will pay petrol money. Please contact me on 083 294 8667
  11. Not sure the above is true. Brothers Sport did not race in the Spring league, did only 3 of the spring league events (Worcester, circuit race and West Coast Express) and came first in Worcester race and WCE.
  12. Firstly, @Tarmac, I have a lot of respect for you and riders of the Aurecon team and well done with your result. Finishing in 5h33 without any riders from the outside and all of you subvets is a great achievement. I just want to clear what you said below: Never did any Brothers Sport rider feed from a vehicle. We did however have permission, as did all the top teams requesting this, to feed with bags from feeders giving the bags to riders. There is clearly a big misunderstanding here in terms of feeding from a moving vehicle which did not happen. If the teams being passed on the road (probably the teams that lodged the complaint as well) have fallen back out of the Brothers Sport slipstream, it would not have been such a big disruption and ''safety issue'' for them at all. Re the Matlosana riders in the team... there's more to it than only results and each team's prorogative to spent their budget to the benefit of the team and the sponsor. Nevertheless, sad that all the complaints (apparently hundreds of them from teams all over) could not be resolved before prizegiving.
  13. Discount on entry fees if you enter at one of the roadshow events. You'll pay the early bird entry. Cape Town's roadshow dates wil be at Cycle Lab Westlake 25 July, Northgate Island 26 July and Tygor Manor 27 July starting at 6pm. Will do my entry there and hope this event doesn't clash with one of the league races. http://www.challengecapetown.com/
  14. Sorry headhunter and thanks Tankman! We'll make up for it - offering some slip off cause.
  15. See you there for 08h30 start at Lord Charles. Leaving from Andrag 07h30 with a few Durbanville guys. First time 4 passes for me - looking forward to it.
  16. Difference between this and Ironman PE: Swim: IM PE - 2 laps of 1.9km in warm calm water CTC - 1 lap of 3.8km, cold water and possibly rougher see Bike: IM PE - 3 laps of 60km, total ascent over 180km = 1,031m CTC - 180km around peninsula, total ascent over 180km = 2,601m Run: IM PE - 3 laps of 14km, total ascent over 42km = 125m CTC - 1.5 / 2.5 laps, total ascent over 42km = 598m Gonna be a tough race especially if the wind also plays its part. Nice Challenge though. Bring it on!
  17. Luke, my point exactly. Allthough there's only one GC, there's still prizes on the day for top 3 subvets. There should be some distinction I'd say.
  18. So.... whats going to happen in Summer League? Some good form out there... Any chance of knowing before the first race which riders in CAT 1 is riding Elites and Subvets?
  19. Tankman, lyk of julle baie pret gehad het. Gaan jy die Cobra roete doen Donderdag?
  20. @Bpayne, nope the vehicle was stationary, but it was in a clearly marked no-feed zone (top of Tradouw for 10km down on the other side). Their vehicle was standing still and the guys were flying past trying to grab and hold on to their feeding bags. I saw this happen and would challenge any AT rider to tell me this is not true. I'm not trying to discredit the AT team, but it is a fact that they've feed in that zone and I'm merely asking if this might have been the reason for a DQ as this did created a dangerous situation to other teams passing. There must be a reason why this part of the road was declared a no-feed-zone, even for the top 15 teams. Again, I think a bit harsh to DQ them for this as there were transgressions all over the place throughout the race. I hope for the AT guys' sake that this can be resolved / withdrawn as they deserve to receive their finishing time (their PB) which must have taken some serious effort.
  21. Heimer, I did ask the question in this thread earlier. Was it perhaps because of the above? Not trying to stir but this was the first thing that came to my mind as we were there at that moment with a few other teams also passing at speed. If so... I agree that this was not the wisest thing you did, feeding in the no-feed zone on a downhill and it was dangerous to other riders passing at 50km/h while you guys were trying to grab bags and bottles from the feeding vehicle at 40km/h. Quite a few of those landed in the road. I have to add that I think a DQ is a bit harsh.
  22. I think the doping story is rubbish, but see there results have been taken off racetec. We did pass them at the downhill on the other side of Tradouw. I don't know what these guys were thinking, but they were feeding in the no-feed zone on the downhill and it didn't look good. There were bottles flying all over the road as the guys tried to grab their bags at speeds exceeding 40km/h+ on the downhill. It was a danger to all who passed. My guess is this was spotted by marshalls and got reported. Not sure they can be DQ'd for that but maybe.
  23. Weldone Tarmac!!!
  24. Haaaa... cool! Made the photo in the 2nd/3rd bunch sprint (photo 6). The guys who rode in this group were awesome. Some hard work were done here. Thanks all. Was a good race and wind back from Malmesbury were in our tails.
