  1. My mate has a bike with that restriction. For 10 pounds he bought a unit that clips on the bike and persuades it somehow that it is only doing half the speed it thinks it is, thus he gets 50k/h before he loses the motor
  2. It was amazing. I will try and share a bit more detail when I get a chance, but that area is just incredible
  3. Got a bit lost on the Weekend in the Sierra Nevada, California. Found a trail on an app that was rated Black Diamond. Didn’t really think about the detail and then spent 4 amazing hours riding, carrying the bike, shitting myself on steep downhills, destroying a wheel, hitchhiking a lift with some hillbilly gold prospectors, trying to find a path and grinning constantly.
  4. Exploring Yosemite National Park in California. Came over to the US for work and brought my anthem along
  5. Is this event still happening. No updates
  6. Hi Bud I may have to make a trip to SA in June to try and help my mom move house etc. Thought I might try and time it around this event as I love cycling in the Midlands so would be keen to know individual entry prices. Suggest that a direct comparison between SANI2C and this event, as you have done above, is risky. Sani has a long history of loyal followers, covers incredible terrain that is largely not rideable outside of this event, is a point to point, with a different campsite each night, and is unique in many aspects. Having said that, I am keen to participate if I can get the timing right, so would love to know when the updates will be up. Thanks
  7. Thank you for the pics. Amazing. Coincidentally, I am out tonight in Newtownards, where the lad was born, so will have a wee whisky for him Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Not knocking it at all boet. Just commenting on how much good meat is wasted by poor technique due to a lack of skill. So many times I have been to a braai and seen great meat cremated
  9. Ha - big difference between braaing and cooking properly using a braai. Lots of SA men don’t understand the difference [emoji23] Landy, every day is a step forward. I hope that you continue along the path that you are on with as much positivity, energy and focus as you have demonstrated thus far.
  10. RIP - terrible
  11. Nice - would to let us know how it goes please
  12. I have been listening recently to Joe Rogan’s podcast. Great entertainment, sometimes really random, but some real nuggets come out. Today he was talking about how, when people are being nasty to you, they are just echoing all of the bad things that have happened in their life, they are not really aimed at you. To be fair, he said it in a way that made sense, but the point was to rather feel sorry for someone who is being horrid to you than to allow them to really hurt you.
  13. Keep positive China - this will, like all things, pass.
  14. Moving forward beats being in limbo I suppose Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Welcome back X
  16. Speaking personally my friend, I have found this thread really interesting. Hearing about your and others experiences is not lekker, but seeing everyone offering support is great to see. Also, sensing the changes in your mood over your different posts, especially the exercising and being positive comments, have been great to see. Somehow, I personally feel some emotional connection to your journey and am really hoping that it has the best outcome for you.
  17. Stay strong China. Well done on getting out and doing stuff Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Lekker - welcome Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. On the farm we had 8-10 big dogs always (Great Danes, Irish wolfhounds and bouviers). We used to give them massive bones that we got from the butcher without ever having a problem. Our Spaniel Cross Collie has got hold of bones a few times and we have had to get him sorted out by the vet 3 times with splinters in his guts, resulting in pain, discomfort and significant costs.
  20. My daughter insists that this is our pet as well
  21. Out dogs are hardcore outdoors only killer dogs, as you can see.
  22. Sounds like it is resolved as best as possible. Good luck China Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Vok, that is cold
  24. First outdoor ride of the year yesterday - flipping cold, very wet, fallen trees to climb over / around, but very lekker to be out. About 2 wet degrees throughout the ride.
  25. Hope it wasn’t as bad as you anticipated. Exercise always beats the bottle. Well done
