Come on guys & girls, do this one - you will tell your grandchildren about the year the fires were so bad, the route had to be shortened. We have to show that as cyclists, we stand with the greater Cape Town community. Just go and have a slow one, take the mountain bike with knobblies. Kudos to the organisers for going ahead still.

I use 2 flashing ones (each have 5 LED's I think) from Sportsmans Warehouse mounted above each other. Two are more visible than 1 and to reduce the possibility that both run flat at the same time, l never replace their batteries at the same time.

Great fun. Good spirit all around. The bottlenecks were far less than previous years. The new single track at the end was fun. My 3rd one. Always nice to relax with friends.

I am 1.78, Medium Giant Anthem, but a Large also feels good, depends where you ride. Try both sizes at the shop.

I am 1.78 m, currently on large Giant Anthem 29er, longer stem fitted. At my leg length am usually told by bike shops I can ride M or L, so would advise try both. Enjoy the hunt.

HI, did my first one. Fairly to the back, start group I, but finished it. Was tough with the mud, certain sections when you are at the back of the field were impossible to ride. Will be back next year with more single track training. This was our team's second stage race, we are still friends! The muddy campsite was a challenge, but part of the memories.

Hi, we are leaving 05h30 Saturday from the robot at Majik forest for 115 km, you can always turn back earlier, via Malanshoogte, then Occultdale, Klipheuwel, farm roads and back.
