  1. - also tried it once... it is for sure the most pain I ever had. I cried for an hour, my wife laughed for an hour
  2. ebay? Don't know bout Jozi Turk, but that's where I will get mine. Great bargains if you are careful - I picked up a brand new Cannondale SRM for R 12 K, local agent wanted R 41 k? Best retail I could get was R 25K, internationally. Oh yes, it works perfectly Set up a search SRAM Red and ask for the weekly email (most items auctions for at least a week) Here's whats available at the moment http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=sram+red&category0=
  3. I also have one of those super duper 4 LED lights and ride with it every morning, but if someone can't see you at 6:30 in full light, its worth nothing! I take your point, but only at 4:30, not 6:30
  4. Wow Craig, that's one sweet ride man! Love the Sram Red... *ponder ponder*
  5. - dude, rerig, the sun was shining at 6:30 for a good hour already, you dont need a light! I know, I was already home by then!
  6. Mental note: Prevent a situation where you are between pantani and anyting with a black jersey.

  8. Exactly that EugeneP. I started training on power again this week and especially your intervals are much harder. Its a more efficient way to train, but as Hunter Allen says - Power meters dont train, YOU train. Training is testing and testing is training. A systematic approach to continious improvement
  9. What model? The CS models you have to "teach" first
  10. ... and when the swelling subsides, in about two weeks, you will enjoy laying eyes on the HUB again.... from your hospital bed, where you lie in traction...
  11. 10/10 for ethics Cois. If everyone on this forum are this honest, we'll go a long way. Post the B&W and I will see if I can grab the original from the archives
  12. Thanks bruce. SRM should be here in a week and then the truth will be told... maybe against fox hill?
  13. OK... thanks. Sorry to sound daft, but if you say 3 minutes at 400w? 1)Does that translate into 5 minutes at a slightly lower figure and 2) should one use a 3 minute 400 watt figure to arrive at an FTP of 345 using the above formulae?
  14. bruce, by your calculations...... Assume a 5 minutes of 400 watts, that gives a indoor FTP range of 288-308 watts (all indoor) Add 15 % for outdoor (using a median of 300 watts FTP, 75%), one arrives at a FTP of 345? Theoritically of course.....
  17. Met n combined FTP van 700 watts en n average Power to weight van 4.5 watts per kilogram op my tandem sal jy maar mooi moet ry om net in dieselfde race as ek te wees... maar hey, daar is altyd pap wiele ne?
  19. Given the title, I can't believe no-one has made a lame "One week in Bangkok .... " joke. Clearly its Monday and the power is off somewhere? Oysters perhaps? Where's Joe Low?

  21. Gary, good idea is perhaps to tell us a bit more about the sponsors, especially the title sponsor... what do they do, target market, rationale for sponsoring. Always nice to know the story behind the jersey
