  1. Fanks! No, nothing special, just IPhone 4 & GoPro pics. I think me and my partner were the only okes on the Descent with flat pedals - I must admit we whacked those downhill sections, but struggled uphill - who said cleats is a must ? Will be back next year for the Great Trek. Berg and Bush is a top class event!
  2. some pics...
  3. cool thanks!
  4. road bike......pfff.....boring....
  5. Hi guys, thanks for the replies! Guess I will need that tool then. Patches, this is how the nut looks like http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/images/prod_52575.png
  6. Old thread - same question. How do I remove these cranks? I removed a nut on the one side with a allen key.... now what? Do I need some special tool? The BB is a press-fit one... HELP!

  8. On my Suunto M5, after exercise, it gives a suggestion "It takes XX hours to full recovery" What does this mean? The manual says the following : "After each exercise, the device shows how long it takes for you to fully recover and when you are ready for exercising on full intensity within your personal fitness level" Is this then the time it will take the heart to fully recover?
  9. Amazing! I love to hear stories like this and to know they are out there. I think we as cyclists can contribute to this great organization and help them in their efforts to research these wonderful animals. I got myself a MyPlanet card and The Cape Leopard Trust is my beneficiary. Just swipeyour card at Woolies (and other stores on the list) and a percentage of your purchases then goes to the CLT. Follow this link and get yourself one : http://capeleopard.o...donate/myplanet

  11. WOW! BIG UP to Gary and the team for putting on a great event! This was my first stage event and I WILL be back next year! This is one well organized event and the food was perfect, not to mention the water tables! YUMMY! I never had so much fun (and pain) on my bike this past weekend. I was blown away with the awesome singletrack, and the views we had. The Berg & Bush is a must do! Next year I will be entering the Great Trek
  12. Their prices are outlandish! 100% of the time
  13. Ridiculous! Not good for the sport, and showing away lots of potential newcomers with these prices. So, most people will have to start with bottom of the range bikes and then when they want to move on to something better, fork out double or triple the amount. Most people getting into mountain biking can't afford R10k and up when starting out. Yes, there goes a lot into building these bikes, but really, does it quantify the cost? Or is this in SA only? Also wanted to get a another bike, but pricing made me to put that idea on hold for a few years.... R20K is about the limit for me.
  14. Spare disk brake pads necessary?
  15. This is exactly what pi**es me off about some LBS! Why have a store if you don't stock any/or only some of the bikes? And some of these pricks working there think they are the SH**. My story here http://www.thehubsa....16#entry1812677
  16. This looks like a nice setup http://www.reb.co.uk/test/workshop.jpg
  17. Ok, so his whole "life" was actually based on a lie, nice one Lance. Finally we can move on! THERE ARE MORE EXCITING STUFF THAN ROAD RACING!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_h1Cgv4K2c&sns=em
  18. Same here! Can't wait! Hope the weather stays like this - I hear it can get pretty hot out there!
  19. Great! thanks guys!
  20. Best puncture kit for a race like this for a tubeless tyre? Are those plugs and solution kits @ Sportsmans Warehouse sufficient? Someone mentioned patches?
  21. Do you guys ride with a spare tyre on a event like this?
  22. Action Cameras, when can we see some steadicam rigs for the GoPro / iPhone?
  23. Dis elke cent werd - as jy dit kan kry in die US!
