  1. Sigey Power Meters are used by the EuroSteel Pyga team, if i'm not mistaken it might be Phillip Buys's business that brings them in
  2. Well done to Pauline and the one race wonder himself Sam Gaze.
  3. I work in a bike shop as a Manager and i have learnt the following: 1. Customer service, customer service and more customer service. A bike shop these days won't last long if it has poor customer service. 2. DO NOT bulls**t the customer. If we break something we will sort it out no charge, while the customer waits if possible. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them. 3. You can not go wrong with Knowledgeable and experienced mechanics that are not afraid to fix something that can't or shouldn't be fixed ie. Shimano brake levers. 4. The customer is always right no matter how wrong they are. 5. If you don't have stock of something or don't sell that item take their details, do your research and get back to them ASAP. Cause more than likely they have gone to 4 other shops first.
  4. I'm a mechanic/salesman at a Scott dealer and i have worked on a few of the new Scott headsets, the first few were a pain in the butt to work on but once you have done a handful of them it's pretty straight forward. With regards to the bolt, there were 1 or 2 cases of the bolt braking but Scott immediately picked it up and sent replacement bolts to the affected bikes and sorted the problem on the latest shipments.
  5. As hard as the race was, it was possibly the best experience i have had in a long time on the bike. Even though you ride a similar course to the Sani2C the it somehow feels different to it. The worst part for me was the 1st hour in the cold and the last 200m to the finish in the sand, maybe some pallets over the sand would be better.
  6. They've changed the world of cycling again......
  7. www.jowettscycles.co.za has them for R11,999 if you sign up as a member on their website and there is still 3 in stock.
  8. The chainlink makes a big difference even more now with the new shimano 12spd stuff. I had a chainlink put on by a LBS the wrong way around and it caused the gears to try and change by themselves. it sounds to me like the jockey wheel is not the right way around as the are directional.
  9. You can get a lot of bang for your buck with your budget. I would personally go for a new bicycle so you have that warranty, if going for second hand I would suggest finding one in your province so you can go and see the bike and you know you not getting ripped off. For new a Scott Spark 970/960 would be a very good option. Go take a look on bike addict or CWcycles for good specials.
  10. Go shred some trails at Karkloof if in the area. Awesome fully marked trails and fun single track.
  11. Welcome to the scott family. I have the scott scale 910(sponsersed) I have to say that scott have really done well in building up their range.
