  1. Are you talking about intervals.icu?! If so please PM me your strava athlete_id and email. The Strava API only supports updating an athletes weight, nothing else. Authorising an application like intervals.icu just allows the app to download your rides and so on. The app cannot "login" to Strava as you or anything like that. So its unlikely.
  2. I finally had a chance to watch that video. Intervals.icu has a much simpler way of presenting the intervals it finds. It shows them how you might see them written on a training program with intelligent grouping. Here is a day from my training log: The timeline chart highlights the intervals and shows the in between stuff as recovery. All without any user-input and pulled from Stava as soon as you visit intervals.icu. You also get power zone stats for the week. I am only really just getting started with this, my goal is to try to keep is simple and automatic as I add new stuff.
  3. I couldn't get it to work properly on my Mac. All sorts of rendering issues. Also its nice to have something web based that you can get to from anywhere. Annoying to have to install software these days.
  4. I started writing https://intervals.icu about 3 months ago when I couldn't find a tool to detect intervals in my power data. And I needed a new pet project to play with. I am looking for early adopters and feedback especially if it doesn't do a good job with your power data. Its functional (on my data!) and does some cool stuff already. It syncs with Strava so you need to be a paid member. From the about intervals.icu page: Everyone knows that the best way to improve as a cyclist is to do power based interval training. However its not always easy to motivate yourself to ride halfway up and down the same hill 8 times in a row. Intervals.icu automatically detects intervals so you can ride your favourite route, punish the rollers and still get good stats to track your progress. Forgot to hit the lap button? No problem! 5. The forum discussion is where you can comment and vote to encourage Strava to fix this.
  6. This is in Cape Town, not Gauteng.
  7. Ha ha If that little stretch is dangerous then so is just about every bit of road in Cape Town!
  8. Someone has flagged one of my favourite little climbs as "hazardous" on Strava! Straight road on tar! It turns out that there is no way to get this flag removed. Please comment on on this thread and upvote to try to get Strava to implement a fix. https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/47450040
  9. Tx guys. I didn't get the mail for some reason. Better get on my bike and head on over.
  10. Anyone know how the hill climb today (Sun 9th Feb) is going to be run? It just says 0800 start time but we can't all go at once.
  11. Thanks for all the quick info guys. I am not fussed as to exactly what spokes I get so long as they are light aero etc and black. So I will make some calls and see what I can find. I am only 73kg so shouldn't need any extra strong spokes. I suspect the wheel wasn't built all that well in the first place. Any reccomendations as to uber spokes for my wheel that I can get locally?
  12. Anyone know where I could get these spokes? The agents claim my wheel does not exist and say they don't have any spokes. Maybe they are being difficult because I didn't buy the wheel set here. Spokes for Easton wheel 278mm x 12 280mm x 12 Straight pull spokes and must be round From Easton website Spokes Sapim? double-butted black, straight pull 18F Radial 24R radial NDS/ 1-cross DS I haven't had the wheel set long and have broken two spokes already. BMC say they have to rebuild the wheel to sort out the problem as other spokes on it are not good
  13. Hi Johan The wheels have internal nipples and the one for the broken spoke is rattling around inside the RIM. I will see if I can get it out. The spokes are straight pull: http://www.eastonbike.com/PRODUCTS/WHEELS/09/wheel_ec90_sl_'09.html Cheers David
  14. They didn't have any replacement spokes when the last one went (the shop used a different spoke to fix). Also I bought the wheels on eBay (new in box) so I don't think Omnico are going to be interested honoring any warranties
  15. Can anyone fix this? The carbon surface on one of my Corima Tubbies has delaminated a bit. The wheel is fine (true, not cracked) but it doesn't look cool and I would like to sell the set. Cheers David
  16. Hi All I use Easton EC90SL tubbies in races. I broke a rear spoke (drive side) in the Argus (wheel badly buckled) and another rear drive side spoke today (also had to wait for a lift). I am only 73kg and have done probably less than 600km on the wheels. In both cases the spoke broke at the nipple. The broken spokes were about 120 degrees apart if that makes any difference. Should I get just the latest broken spoke replaced or replace all spokes or all drive side spokes or what? If I do replace all the spokes which spokes should I get? Thanks David
  17. I remember watching a rugby game played overseas some years ago and thinking the same thing. The director / cameramen never had a clue where the ball was or where it was likely to be next and kept missing the action. Probably our guys just don't know anything about cycling.
  18. Gee 200g is a lot of fluid. I only put 40-50ml (g probably) of Stans in each tubbie. After reading this thread I think I will look around for a "high pressure" sealant next time I get a new tubbie instead of just using Stans.
  19. I have finished one race with a half flat tubbie. It worked well enough so I didn't know until after the end. I am assuming that stans sealed a flat because it didn't go down any more and was fine after I pumped it up properly.
  20. Hi Guys I use stans in my tubbies on my race wheels and that works very well. Does stans work in a normal road tube? I seem to remember hearing somewhere that it doesn't work properly. Cheers David
  21. BMC = Bicycle Maintenance Company 0214484692 I have only ever had good service from them.
  22. Its easier than queuing for a helmet sticker
  23. I got my stuff from CapeMail. There really was no invoice on the outside of the box (must have been ripped off somehow) so the delay wasn't CapeMails fault.
