    I was told the Cederberg ride is unsuitable for gravel bikes due to the change in route, so it could be the terrain is rougher, potentially more tricky. Whether this is true I don't know, but the road near Eselbank is getting worse and I think the route goes over that

    Hell, lets logically split out men from women, the 60+ ballies from the 30-35. Recumbents from the tandems! Oh wait.. we do. God forbid Caster enters the Cycle Tour. Other than the elite "racers" this is all academic anyway. I don't give a **** if I get passed by an eBike. I am fighting my own personal demons to better myself. No-one gives a damn about me. Why should I give a damn about them and what they ride? The point is its the greatest fun ride on earth, in the greatest city, ridden by (mostly) the greatest people. People seem to have lost the point of the original ride...

    Does anyone have a routemap of this, or even better a strava profile? I'm certainly not capable of finishing the 100 but I'd like to give the 50 a bash, so I'd like to know what I am letting myself in for in terms of route and general conditions

    Rules are rules I guess, especially considering the "contract" to get riders off the course before the city opens the roads to traffic. But given the delay which was out of the riders' hands, there could have been a bit of leniency. I mad e recommendation that next time she do a couple of seeding rides, just to get her out of the last couple of groups.

    The daughter of a lady friend of mine did her first CTCT, starting in the back group. She missed the cut-off in Hout bay by 8 minutes. But what pissed her off was that the back group apparently started 15-20 minutes late, and she certainly felt should could have finished it in time. Anyone know what the cause for the delay was?

    Why are the organizers not enforcing the “personal music” rule. I don’t mind Pink Floyd blaring out of s Bluetooth speaker attached to a bike but the complete inattention by riders with ears stuffed with earphones is astounding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is it just me is is it every time I want to look at points that there's always a message points not yet calculated, and this is for events two weeks ago? While I know I'm reaching my goals every week, my wife is bitching because she cant see where she is relative to her goals
