  1. Yes indeed. Gotta respect him for racing and not just sitting in. Durbridge can become a real contender at the classics! Fine fine racer. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  2. Like GOG and I noted it's odd tactics from QS. They really need to remember that Sagan isn't the only major player at the spring classics especially with the form that both Kwia and GVA has shown so far. And it was definitely clear that it was going to be the break that was going to contest the win and as such it would have been more beneficial for Terpstra to them be QS's man for the win. Which should've meant working with Sagan rather than just sitting in on his wheel. So very odd tactics from them. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  3. Durbridge also had very little help from the Astana rider, Lutsenko iirc. Durbridge tried covering the attacks by both Gilbert and Lampaert and in the last 10k's had nothing to give. Even when they were just keeping the break going Durbo did his bit with the pacemaking. Durbo was just plain unlucky not for lack of effort but because of superior numbers against him. 4. Ja at GW I felt that they knew that there would be no bunch sprint for the win from the 20k mark. So yes odd tactics. Very odd. However at DDV they got their tactics almost spot on in getting the sting out of Durbridge's legs as he was the biggest threat in a sprint and got a 1 2 for their efforts. So QS has been a bit schizophrenic this season ito tactics imho. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  5. Those 'plugstreet' did add a nice element to the racing. Although some might argue that dirt roads should be for the Strade. I enjoyed though. Not sure what Terpstra was thinking or what QS had planned. Doesn't make sense to have a guy in the break and not have that guy contribute especially as it became evident that the bunch wasn't going to catch up. A wee bit of hard luck for sure. GVA benefited from the Sagan watching last Sunday. Hopefully he'll be a bit more marked at RVV. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  6. Ummm actually I was more worried that my sense of humour and the interwebs was working together for once. It doesn't always hey. Actually come to think of it, it almost never does. Your times you set was fast enough to chick me - more a reflection on me I know but still good times in all honesty. For us here in the deep south of the Cape I reckon those that run and cycle would definitely prefer running through Kalk Bay than cycling it. Running through there is safer than cycling imho! 7. Yeah well your strava times show you aren't too shabby when it comes to riding a bike! At least the times I can remember from my training for the Cycle Tour. Good luck with the double laps, I am sure that the second one will be a blast! Edit: BTW I was joking in my previous post. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  8. Klink Bakgat! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  9. And you guys call yourselves cyclists! You should be ashamed! *tongue firmly in cheek* Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  10. They just need someone to introduce them to it I reckon. Nothing quite so lekker like a nice koeksister! Or the Cape equivalent to it for that matter. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  11. The best always evolve and find a way to succeed. Sagz will be no different. It's that change that makes racing such a joy to watch. Punch and Counter Punch. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

    Cricket......

And doing so Philander adds his name to a small elite group of all rounders to have done that for SA. Class player is Big Vern! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  13. Or they are banking on his desire to win. Sagz wants to win and races to win even if means risking a loss. But ja, could be he needs to make a minor switch tactically in order to make the other teams work more. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  14. No legs in the last 20k I think. Burnt his matches trying to keep up with Sagz and GVA. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  15. The Kemmelberg is the name. I think Sagz will be aware of his positioning. Don't think it cost him today but next week it might. Enjoy your weekend away even without L'Etape it sounds like it'll be good fun. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  16. He rode a good race today and you can't always win everything but damn he was pretty much full gas from when he and GVA dropped the peloton. Such a good racer and entertainer. Only mistake today was thinking Terpstra would help with chasing down GVA. Sorenson was barely holding on then. Early rounds to GVA. RVV will be hectic as Phil Gil will be gunning for a win as well. Another in some red hot form! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  17. Joint favourites I would imagine. And besides that quote you posted shows a peed off champ. Sagz will make an impact as usual. Fireworks expected! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  18. The first guy since Jan Raas to win the Omloop, E3 and GW in 1981. What a season the Olympic champ is having! Can't keep him out of the action! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

    Cricket......

I have to agree. The match is neatly poised and it looked like Dup and Tembs were starting to get a partnership going. Tomorrow first session will be an important one. Could very well determine how the match plays out. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  20. Defo's Lampaert's biggest career win! So happy to QS take a 1 2 with having the numbers in the break. Gilbert's attack at 10k to go seemed to take the sting out of Durbidge's legs! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  21. Figure the only way Gilbert or Lampearts win is if they get rid of both Lutsenko and Durbridge but especially Durbridge! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  22. Hungry for a home win they are! *speaking Yodaish* Apparently not. However I am hoping for a home winner so it would be nice if it is a Stepper. Come on Gilbert!!!!! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  23. You're missing Durbridge. Strong group. They got 29 seconds. The last hour & a half will be entertaining. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  24. The racing is on lady and gents! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  25. Another bump. Donation done as well. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
