  1. Thanks for the feedback. What's the maintenance like? I'm from KZN, we don't service our bikes or our coffee machines.
  2. Thanks, does the servicing turn out quite costly?
  3. Anybody know much about these machines? Looking for something that will do a good cappuccino as well as espressos. http://static.yuppiechef.com/docscache/static.yuppiechef.com/docsraw/3200/picture20100323154226_600x450q80.jpg
  4. Agreed, a couple of nice berms and berm launchers through those trees would make it pretty fun.
  5. Managed a bit if work on the lip and built up the landing on the other side of the gulley. That roller definitely needs to be about a meter longer if you don't want to pedal like hell before the gulley jump, though.
  6. Dude, there are children on this forum.
  7. Reported. Mods, please remove the images. Omega, that Switchblade is proper ugly, you're right.
  8. Anybody know who stocks the Giro Cypher helmets locally? Omega Man, you mentioned 'that Giro thing was a fail', which product were you referring to?
  9. Good idea. They might work better as two roller/doubles.
  10. I thought you had a bright orange Kittem?
  11. I think most people have the same approach so when you get a hundred people all giving back their own medicine and laughing it off, you only need a handful of people to take it seriously. What would pass with a laugh at a bar easily turns into handbag slinging online. I think it's easy to forget that none of this is real and the bloke you think is a knobkerrie behind the keyboard is the same bloke you'd readily stop and help repair a puncture for on a ride. Also, it's Christmas and stuff.
  12. It's not going to measure up to what you've got locally but it's what we've got.
  13. Oddly appropriate username. It's a section of the Spruit (as inhabited by Spruit Rats) that has been crafted recently. The Spruit Rats generally work on sections at a time (under his Fairyship) and the hope is they will eventually be linked together into one thrilling, Enduro style run. They've been built with the intention that everyone can ride them regardless of if they ride a long travel bike or an SSR but with a bit of technique one can have a lot of fun.
  14. I thought we'd lowered the bar to 5.5 in order to earn the Rata Del Spruit TLDs. Anything below that is basically a rigid fork, though.
  15. You could see there was a lot of disagreement about the plan, both on the field and in the box. I would have loved us to go down guns blazing but I think all will be forgiven if we win the next test and secure a series victory over India. Unfortunately, with that finish, it's easy to forget what an amazing fight it was just to secure a draw.
  16. How good has Faf been? His role felt a little bit night-watchmanish yesterday but he's stuck it out. He has the grit of Boucher.
  17. It's 6m from end of takeoff to start of landing but I think the gap is only about 2 or 3m. It's very forgiving, though. I don't think you'd have any hassle with it. It's smoother than Christmas Tree chatting up girls at Scout Hall.
  18. I know how that feels. I was cleaning my wallet the other day and it just went off. Next thing a UPS guy knocks on my door.
  19. Rode it today on my SS'R', really sweet line with the addition of those rollers and the new 6m jump. Now we just have to link all the fun sections of the Spruit together.
  20. Nice photography, Peach. I'd pay at least R50 for a photo, not sure what the rest of your mates complain about.
  21. I think Santa Cruz totally own the best combination of aesthetics and technology. Damn, their bikes are desirable.
  22. I know that problem all too well. A mate of mine gave me an NW chainring at a really good deal. New chain, cassette, derailleur and shifter later…
  23. Nice site, thanks. I'll check them out for other stuff but Dial'd have earned my loyalty for anything they stock.
  24. Gave my daughter a Strider at 18 months and it's incredible to watch. Without a single bit of assistance they figure out how to push the bike, eventually how to sit and push and then the feet start coming up when they're going down hills and after a couple of months they're balancing completely naturally. At less than 2 my daughter motors down the 50m driveway, her feet only coming down once she needs to hit the brakes. Speak to Chris at Strider bikes, he normally holds Strider events and races for the kids on weekends. At their age they just learn through osmosis: https://www.facebook...BALANCE?fref=ts
