Wow, something worth looking into and ticking off on the todo list.

Please note that membership is R20 for juniors (born in 1996 and later) and R150 for seniors (born in 1995 and earlier). If a senior works they should not be joining PPA paying development fees but should be joining normally. If a senior is unemployed and cannot afford the membership fees the club will have to send a motivation as to why the person cannot pay. The above message was part of an email sent to all DEVELOPMENT CLUBS that PPA supports in terms of various rebates. This email contained an attachment that explains the criteria for 2014 -2015 season. Something is a miss in this shifting of the annual goal post strategy without any form of consultation and what I would like to gather are the opnions and thoughts from: "development club" members, from ordinary PPA mmembers (you dont belong to any club except the club" of PPA) and, from the cyclists that simiply dont subscribe to the PPA philosophy. When posting Please identify yourself as forming part of one of those 3 groups. This will form part of research to determine whether there are merits in continuing with the development club status as it is or whether CSA is maybe the better option to follow. Please bear in mind nothing is for FREE and PPA beenfits from having dvelopment clubs on their books. Let the dicussion begin....

Hi, I am buildingup a road wheel and need some expert advice on what a good hub one can use for a deep section wheel. I think the criteria should be based on cost, part availability, service agent backup and maybe there are a few more that you can alert me of. I mentioned Novatec and Powerway but if there are any other good, reputable, relaible hubs that i need to be made aware of then please provide detail on these. I was looking a the superlight Novatec hub vs the R13 Powerway models.i know there are different models in these respective brands.Once again i request guidance and recomendations from the experienced cyclists out there. I hope you guys can oblige....

Thanks for the feedback, there is not much of a price difference compared with DA chain and i assume the gold edtion is more expensive as well. Do you know o this compares with the DA chain on weight etc?

Hi, I ride a road bike with DA 7900 GS, it is time to change the chain before it wears my cassette. Besides the cost factor what other chain would be more sutiable as a repalcement for a DA 7900 chain? Your input will be appreciated. Feel free to request any further info.

My concern is why the insurance did not originally pay out? It sounds ridiculous that it was because you never had a picture of yourself on the bike. Let me know which insurance company this is because I would hate to advise clients of mine to insure bicycles with a company that has that as an exclusion?
