  1. Hi I'm going to Omaramba this weekend (across Buffelspoort dam). Is it worthwhile to take my mtb along and find some tracks to ride? Is it safe? Can I do breedsnek on my own? Any advice?
  2. I ride Kenda Karma front and it grips like crazy. Maxxis Crossmark back purely because it only follows the front.

    Grip shift

    Definitely.
  4. Don't go that high. I run at about 1.4-1.6 and weigh 78kg. More grip with lower pressure. (It also increased my speed dramatically over soft sand). I have never had a burp or any other problems.
  5. I agree. It's the one thing people hardly ever service. They will gladly pay R1000 for a new derailleur when shifting becomes difficult, but won't spend R100 on new cables (which is actually the problem). I'd recommend new cables, some cleaning of parts and, as JB said, hubs etc...
  6. Go tubeless!
  7. I figure I would appreciate my watch returned if it was lost and found.
  8. Hi I recently picked up a HR watch and want to return it to its rightfull owner. If you have lost yours, please PM me with the "what (make, model, colour), where (specific location) and when (date)".
  9. I'm in Centurion and cycle to New Road. I'll be happy to meet up with you guys on the way.

    MTB Baggeys

Still 750? I'm actually a 32...How exact are the sizes?
  11. I live in amberfield glen. Want a cycling buddy to midrand. Will be a bit safer, and we'll get exercise in.

    MTB Baggeys

So, does no one cycle with baggey shorts?
  13. Hi guys and gals I commute from Centurion (amberfield) to Midrand (new road). Would like to know if anyone wants to join me. I leave at about 6am. Anyone?

    MTB Baggeys

Hi I'm looking for new mtb baggeys, but don't know which to go for? I'm in the market for about R600. Any ideas?
  15. post pics and trip report!
  16. prob the cables. replace them.
  17. Cycled past a primary school on the way to work. While checking out all the mommies and flexing my calves, I forgot to unclip and did a sideways faceplant right at the main intersection of the school. Traffic stopped, mommies stared and I wanted to stick my head in a whole. Very embarrassing.
  18. That sucks donkey balls. I was thumbs-upping each cameraman hoping for a "I'm too cool for school" pic. Man o Man.
  19. Anyone know?
  20. I went through the same exercise as you. Here is my conclusion on upgrading... Good fork vital. Bike setup vital. Good bib vital. Knowing how to set your derailleurs vital. Decent rear derailleur nice. Front derailleur makes no difference. (I'm still running a SIS) Braking is improved by using better tires. I'm still running V-brakes and they work very well. Just my thoughts...
  21. Week 3 of feb, 9 days. That means any team doing the Giro will prob not do the Tour?
  22. If you really want to do the race, practice like you are going to do it and just buy an entry on the Hub the month of the race. Like any big (and limited) race there are always people that suddenly can't make it. The Epic this year had about 10 available spots on the Hub. BTW, I'm Wait - A14 for the sani. :s
  23. Ekt nie laas jaar gery nie, so ek gaan net kan enter as al 650 plekke nie deur spanne van laas jaar geneem word nie.
  24. Team number ... "Wait - A14" Meaning I'm 14th on the waiting list? (I hope)
  25. Eks happy met 'n 50km op 'n sondag of saterdag oggend. Laat maar weet. Alhoewel, hierdie naweek gaan nie werk nie Doen babbas sondag.
