  1. I stay in Amberfield and I'm looking for some mtb partners in the area. You guys keen?
  2. No advice?
  3. Hi guys and gals What cellphone pouches are there out there. I'm looking for one with a clear front, so that I can follow sports tracker whilst riding. Something like the VeloTrac? I don't really want to have to take the phone out of my pocket to see what's going on. Thanks
  4. maybe it is safer, seeing as they can just grab the phone without trying to take it out of your pockets or backpack (aggressively).
  5. Great idea! can just slide the phone out after a ride. SHAPOW! Hub to the rescue!
  6. Hi Guys and Gals I'm looking at getting the Polar for Nokia bluetooth heart rate belt to use with Sportstracker. However, how would I attach the cellphone to my handle bar? I can get a Ram cellphone clip, but it is a bit bulky. Any thoughts?
  7. Very deep. Very cool.
  8. 70 Euros Sportstracker online shop:Polar bluetooth belt for Sportstracker
  9. Mine now sounds stupid compared to those. I'll have to do some brainstorming...
  10. What a chop.
  11. I used sportstracker with a gps dongle connected to my nokia via bluethooth. Worked better than the internal gps, seeing as the battery lasts a lot longer.
  12. See, this is where the problems started. When setting the outer plate to 1mm about the largest chainring, the inner plate makes contact with the middle chainring when shifting. So, I had to set the outer plate to about 1cm above outer chainring for it to shift past middle chainring. Very confusing. Maybe I have to mention that I have a old crank that used to be setup for 8 speed (now converted everything to 9 speed, except replace crank and previous fd. Now still sticking with crank, but replacing the fd to the new sram x9). Would the crank be 8/9 speed specific with the chainrings different sizes?
  13. I'm in Amberfield. I'll try the conversion again, and if I don't come right perhaps bring the bike past your place. Really appreciate the offer to help! Thanks.
  14. It seems as if the shimano shifters move the sram fd too much...after the 2nd pull of the shifter the fd is over the 3rd cog.
  15. Hi I have a SRAM x9 fd and xt shifters. Will they be compatible? Thanks
  16. It's like the matrix in the matrix! Nothing like keeping it real! haha!
  17. Well, not totally. I tried to start a online bicycle parts shop. Phoned Shimano overseas, they put me in contact with the local distributer, Cool Heat. The local distributer said "No way hose!". The reason was that an online shop will kill the local shops and that online shops cannot provide "club rides". They would only supply me stock if I had my own "walk in" bicycle shop. Erm, the point of an online shop is, well... to be online. Nothing like killing competition he?
  18. I made my own chain wip. A piece of old chain and a piese of steel. Took about 10 mins to make and works like a charm!
  19. Blackburn Mars 3.0 Fantastic light and extremely bright!
  20. 75kg's. However the 1 bar is during rides where I don't check my tyres before hand! :s Probably closer to 1.5/1.8.
  21. I ride tubeless at about 1 bar sometimes...
  22. Too much tire pressure perhaps?
  23. That's the spirit!
  24. so the diameter doesn't actually increase, the thickness of the rim increases (with the inner tube). With rim tape nothing happens except that you seal the spoke holes.
