  1. Hi Naas, What Woolf tooth will work on a Shimano XT FC M770 crank? Interested in going this route.
  2. I have found that my compression helps if I wear it after events but did nothing during. I also struggle with calf stress due to a bad knee and it has helped, but only slightly. I try run on the balls of my feet for 5 min to warm up as well, this seems to have helped a bit as well.
  3. Its my next project (I hope), I want the superlight 400 Chassis with a Honda Typr R(if it fits but it should) motor mounted to a sequential box. 150KW(lightly tuned) on a 700kg car will be a lot of fun.
  4. He brings it back although as you said when he is tired he goes off to the shade with it. if I call him he brings it back though and he has never tried to bite the Frisbee. He is quite good with his toys like that, destroys the ones he is allowed to and the chase toys he treats with pride and joy.
  5. Thanks Guys, He is a awesome little character and just such a loving dog. He is now a year and 4 months, So still got a bit of filling out to do.
  6. Having some frisby fun in the park. Its their favourite time of the week.
  7. Who says sprinters cant climb. Cavendish is making a move ahead of the peloton. Wants the sprint points on the other side of the hill.
  8. what is the suggested/enforced speed limit and is it for the race or only small sections that are deemed dangerous.
  9. Wonder how much SKY donated to get that right. Its only gonna hurt Contador in terms of attacking on the descents. If someone it 10 seconds behind at the top of the climb how are they going to resist catching up to the leaders who are sitting up catching their breath.
  10. To all the people standing up for Sky and saying that changing the route for riders safety, just remember this. If you are scared and cant go as fast as the rest don't race (such as Pinot) Think of all the dangerous races in other sports. Isle of Man Dakar Ralley Roof Top (Africa) Ride to your ability, if you are not good in the wet (Wiggins), suffer and lose time to your opponents. Its the name of the game.
  11. Mandy through CP 3 @ 0'35 Not bad at all.
  12. If I dropped 8kg's I would enjoy the hills even more. To the OP, everything makes a difference when it comes to climbing and weight. Change parts on you bike because you have to(old/damaged) or want to(have the spare cash). I enjoy riding my bike because I do, not because I made it lighter or because it has lots of bling bling (it doesn't)
  13. Im not the lightest rider I know, I think my bike thinks im a fatty. Also on a 100mm hardtail. Been working on riding lighter.
  14. Martin 3rd @ 0'37 De Gent is Flying 0'35 up at checkpoint 2
  15. That is soft, I ran 1.6 front and back the other day, felt as if my rim was touching every rock I road over. I am using 1.7/1.9bar on 2.3/2.1 tyres.
  16. I run XTR, bulletproof wheels in my opinion. I would personally go for the Arch but at your weight I think the crests should be fine even with some hard knocks.
  17. Every little bit makes a difference as they say, the biggest difference in a wheel comes from the tyres (rolling resistance and then weight). As for a wheel I like a solid rim and a good quality hub and I am light at 75kg's. I don't believe that 50 grams on a rim will make a big enough difference to me (not a pro) to sacrifice strength (especially when I lose talent and hit something a bit too hard). The wheels mentioned above (stans) are great and popular for a reason. If it makes you more comfortable and ride your bike more then do it.
  18. I think Froome will be vulnerable and wont be able to just work his way back if Conto and Quintana can make a quick gap. Just hope Valverde doesn't miss the chance. Will surely make the last bit of the tour a lot more exciting.
  19. Its going to be interesting to see how they all attack Froome here, He will surely be alone halfway up unless Porte has some gas left. Conto and that little Quintana will make a few quick attacks im sure.
  20. So if I go to a 1x9 to keep my same climbing ratios I lose 0.7 worth of gears at the top (I never use granny). That means I would have to spin about 20-25 RPM faster to not lose any pace but I will drop a couple hundred grams off the bike. In my opinion that wont be much fun. Will keep the bike the way it is till 1x11 cassettes done cost an arm and a leg.
