    Rugby...

I reckon SA by 12 I agree that Straus would make a good captain. But will he ever be our first pick at hooker once Bismark is back. Jean is in for another year if there are no injuries. So thinking of the starting 15(you have to have a consistently fit 15) Who would be the choice. Its going to be an interesting choice with no born leaders(in my opinion) in the team.

    Rugby...

I would just like to see them take a young team on the British tour. let them have a crack at international rugby and see what they can produce and try grow a team around that. As for captaincy, Im not sure if any of the current players have what it takes to lead properly. My only choice would be Bismark, but that would impact on his game as he will quieten down a bit. My prediction would be a new 8th man down or flanker coming in an getting the job after Jean.

    MTB weight

My 26" hardtail is 10.5kg's and has damn heavy tyres on it. Other than that i have Full XT, carbon everything and my fork is sub 1.5kg. If i want to go lighter i will need to chage tyres(obviouse) or start using lighter parts which will either be very expensive or not that durable.
  4. Its not from training, like gummibear stated its a type of oil. Any fat kid can get the biggest arms in the world doing this. All of the previous records were won the same way. What a chop

    JD MTB

Hi Guys, I have a Xtra Small GT Avalanche 2 frame with the big down sweep in the top tube. I was thinking of making this into a bit of a jump/stuffaround bike, maybe even attempt some soft downhill stuff on it. Do you think this would be possible and what type of fork should i put on it. I see the JD bikes have the argile on, would this handle some downhill and some untalents jumping with some hardish landings?
  7. My nutrition and hydration are good during and after a ride. I used to get them and they went away after riding for a while, stopped ridding for a year and now that im getting back on im getting them again. Think i need to ride smoother lines
  8. I also get headaches a few hours after a ride but not as bad as what you experience. I believe mine is from the jolting from rough terrain or/and strain on my neck. Im hoping a bit of training can sort out my issues.
  9. Hey Karma, Was nice to meet you guys, pity i had issues and seriously need to get fitter. Sorted everthing out, had a nail rolling round in my tire, it obviously pushed straight through. Sealant was still coming out when i got home, no clue why it didnt seal. But bike is up and running again.
  10. Ok will see you guys there. Will try ride with for as long as i can, been pathetic with my training this winter.
  11. Cool, what distance, time you looking at. Im sure i will spot your bike, its bright enough. Im on a black and white Trek and driving a silver Chev utility.
  12. Whats the details. Im riding Northern tomorrow anyway so will join in for a bit.
  13. Hey Prozac, is that MTB or Road? Im in Ruimsig and keen to get training again.

    Cricket......

That ball was doing some crazy things in the frist session. Kallis was unlucky and i think that changed things. The ball Smith went out on should have been left, but that must have swung half a meter. AB was too aggresive and gave his wicket away. Amla played a sloppy shot (the gap between bat and pad was the size of the grand canyon), it was a good ball though. I think batting first strategically was the right decision, the cloud cover wasnt expected and created a bit of chaos. Think England will have a tough time in their 2nd innings on this ground.

    Cricket......

This is a seamers pitch and i am sure Dale is going to get some revenge for those beamers he got. If they get any type of assistance like the english got Vernon and Dale will rip through their top order. But did you see the swing they got when it was overcast, it was ridiculous.
  16. Im no pro, but it largely depends on the terrain, i can average some 50km rides at about 20km/h and then some 25km rides at 16km/h If its not a technical ride and easy climbs then i would say average, if its very technical and got some big climbs i would say you are pretty fast.
  17. Thats good that the hub is safe. I think that Naas should be contacted and things confronted and sorted out. This can only hurt the community that has been grown over so many years. I think it is in the best interests to be sorted out ASAP.
  18. Well at least he could be contacted and spoken to behind the scenes so that he is proteced as well if he has not commited these offences. I do believe that the moderators and owners have an obligation to protect the community in this regard. If i have stolen goods(i have bought a fair amount of stuff from the Cape recently) i would want to know about it asap so that i can sort things out on my side. If he is implicated in this his account should be suspended to protect others, but by all means chat to him first.
  19. Naas obviously knows who it is, so to protect the community against this it is very simple. Naas can let the owners of the hub know who this chap is, they can suspend his account and contact anyone who has had dealings with him so that they can then protect themselves as well as this site. This is a business afterall and they can be implicated as they have allowed stolen goods to pass through their doors.
  20. Got a fair amount of swimming to watch tonight
  21. What time is Chad's swim tonight? Need to see the Rowing replay. This is AWESOME stuff.
  22. It is going to be an interesting race, think the top couple will be tight for most the race. As far as i have heard it is a fast track with small tough climbs and a couple rock gardens. Not gonna miss it for anything!
  23. How will the seeding work? Will the top couple ranked riders start in the front or is it MX style start(everyone in a row). I want Burry to win, But Nino just has something else. He has hurt everyone this year and has led most of the races he has been in from start to finish.
  24. How easy, I have a crack in a frame at home and wouldnt mind giving it a bash. Any articles i go looks at?
  25. I think that they should be hung up by their hands in handcuffs untill their flesh rips off. If that last long enough their joints pull out and their arms get ripped off. I would also leave a kettle there for public to throw some boiling water on them. The most excrutiating death is what they deserve.
