I think any of the modern name brand LED lights will do more than adequately for your purposes. From my commuter experience, the RYDER lights are very good, well priced, and if anything goes wrong they do stand by their warranty.

I would be interested to see the stats of the no. of people with TV license that also have a DSTV subscription.

I agree with what you are saying, I am also curious as to what the growth of the sport is currently for new riders into the realm of cycling ... be it dirt or tar ... and even those confused lots on gravel bikes.

I just want to add, if you guys are out on those back roads, please use a flashing red light .... based on what I have been seeing on the back roads, you can spot a cyclist from far away with a flashing red light in the middle of the day, but they do not stand out as easily with no light at all. A small thing that makes a huge difference to your safety on the roads.

wonder if they will bring this into SA ... a bike I would not mind throwing my leg over.
