  4. Thanks. Not in metal works, but I can measure and draw. [emoji6]
  5. So finished the luggage plate and fitted to the bike. Can't wait to hit some dirt now.
  6. Congrats, haven't had any experience with the big twins but judging by their popularity you can't go wrong.I'm part of a Whattsapp/Facebook riding group and msny of the guy's on there ride 1150's.
  7. Two weeks ago I had to go see a client on a Saturday afternoon , took the BMW and from him I rode via a bit of dirt bush roads to the office. On that little detour of mine I suffered a slow puncture that I only discovered later in the day. Took the wheel of and as luck would have it I discovered that the one side forks seal was leaking, so had to remove the forks to have them serviced this week. Also making with a luggage plate at the moment, had ig CNC'd out of Stainless steel and busy with the mounting process now. Apparently I have reached the limit of the amount of photos I can post in a month with Tapatalk....[emoji848]
  8. Especially for the right leg since there's more wind flow that side.[emoji6]
  9. My boep would never allow me to ride thst bike.....[emoji16]
  10. Stopped at that same garage a couple of months ago, when we were there for a weekend, to buy some water. [emoji106]
  11. Holy balls it was cold out this morning, temp between 4 - 5°, only when the sun came out in the last 30min did it rise to about 8°. Still had a great time on the bike.
  12. Had a lekker hard XC style ride with a much fitter group than me yesterday. They had to wait in a few places for me.[emoji2357]
  13. This bike does look flashy though, and for a 3-5y/o kid it should be durable enough for riding in the garden/street.
  14. [emoji38][emoji38] It's a bunch of crap hey. Fortunately at the shop I worked we had the cheaper side and the "up market" side. Fortunately the Raleigh's never came to my side.[emoji6]
  15. Stadige reflekse kom maar so met die ouderdom saam....[emoji6]
  16. Lekker man![emoji108] My heart is yearning more and more for a Trance.[emoji106]
  17. Another beautiful morning out on the trails.
  18. We are partially operating at work so I have to open up in the mornings. That leaves me with about 45min in the morning for exercise. This morning I decided to make use of this little time I have and did a couple of crit style laps around the local mall. There's even a paved section almost resembling cobbles.[emoji16]
  19. They are excellent bikes and the motots are able to withstand some punishment, if you keep them moving. This redline "fireworks" game wasn't their strong point.
  20. I used every opportunity I could to go buy bread and milk, the long way round.[emoji16]
  21. Brakpan racing mod this then.....[emoji6]
  22. That is also why the SRAD's nearly vanished in SA, they were not as hard as the previous Presling's and Slingshots.
  23. So with some restrictions lifted and some businesses being allowed to start operating this week I could finally get a much needed chain and sprocket kit for my GS and installed it yesterday. Also the grips are a bit mushy, I think it might be normal grips fitted over the heated inners that didn't stand the test. Quick cost effective fix was to put some cricket bat grips on for the time being. Just need to remember not to use the heating feature. Ps: when installing the sprockets yesterday I found three teeth missing on the rear presumably after an earlier quick rip down to the shops and back that might've included a wheelie or two.
  24. Ek het nog nooit die XT500 gery nie, maar n pel van my het op n tyd n XT550 gehad, hy was net so bliksem om aan die brand te skop soos my DR600.
  25. And today was roadie Sunday. We managed to do a proper 37km ride with 430m of climbing within our 5km radius. I realised once again today I don't have climbing legs anymore, or it might be the extra 15kg's I have to haul around my waist.....[emoji848]
