  1. Would like to give one a go sometime. I'm seriously considering buying a big naked in a couple of years and the MT09 vs the GSX-S are currently on my short list.
  2. Could you PM me the shops details? I have a mate who might be interested in that V Strom.
  3. I've found satisfying my WANT rather than my NEED to be much more fulfilling. [emoji6]
  4. Finally got my Suzuki DR600 back from the mechanic on Friday. Went riding with my boy on Sunday and also got the wife on the DR as she's been wanting to learn for a while.
  5. Early morning ride with my boy to the shop for breakfast ingredients.
  6. Joined a group this morning on their training ride. These guy's made me wish I stayed in bed! Fortunately most of the ride was in the dark so they couldn't see just how badly I was suffering. [emoji33]
  7. Condolences ICM. I've always had an open relationship with my father and when I told him I'd started smoking he said to me "I'm not going to tell you what to do, you know what the dangers and consequences are." He had the same to say about motorcycles.
  8. You guy's aren't making it easy hey......how am I suppose to break the news to the missus that we're not getting a Navarra next year and she'll have to stick with the Hardbody a few more years since I'll be having a hefty monthly "Doctor's bill"..... I currently have the DR600 and it doesn't pillion very well. I've considered the DL 1000/650 alot but it's just not offroad enough for me like the DR. Now the DR BIG might be just the thing.[emoji848]
  9. Nogals nou dat ek so kyk. Lyk veskriklik baie soos die Rawsonville omgewing.
  10. Its that time of the year again. It's dark and cold but its fun.[emoji106]
  11. Coarses for horses I guess, but not for me.
  12. Peddling away those Monday blues.
  13. Sunday morning around the Worcester farm roads with a mate who's getting back into the groove.
  14. Those Sani trips sound amazing, would also like to do it one day.Post some pics when you come back.
  15. Had to go see a client early this morning and planned on riding there with the bicycle, woke up early and didn't feel up to the 60km there and back so made morning of it with my boy.
  16. Hi there and welcome J_W_D , your definition describes Bikehub perfectly, entertaining and informative, especially on Friday's as you should know. [emoji6]
  17. Hi and welcome Gerrie, nothing wrong with a 26er GT Avalanche HT, I also stil have one, as long as you enjoy riding it![emoji1690]
  18. Thanks for the off, I see MR Price sport have some in kids sizes so I'll go get one from them for now.
  19. You missed me by a week then, I stopped working at Kings Cycle the previous Saturday, a week before the event last year. This event last year was my first free Saturday after leaving Kings. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my first Saturday of in over 2years than doing an event and enjoying the vibe afterwards with my family.
  20. You going to be on the other side of the pond again Dave? You must give the 30km a go some day, it truly is an propper mtb event, the amount of elevation and level of technicality makes it one to be reckoned with.
  21. Hadn't considered it, Juan's biggest ride to date has been about 8km's but I think he might make it if we take it easy.Going to get him a padded cycling short and try a bigger ride this coming weekend and see how it goes.
  22. Thanks for the suggestion Milky, but much like Skubarra says, this little guy has been nagging me for months, "wanneer begin die races weer?", so leaving him behind while I go ride will mean a veeeery k@k old age home one day......
  23. Ag v@k! Having just spoken to the wife she informed me that she will be working that weekend, which means I'm on parental duty and as a result will most likely be doing the 5km with my boy.[emoji848]
  24. Did the 30km last year and there are quite a few single track sections. Can also vouch for the difficulty factor on the 30km, it's pretty hard for that distance. I'm very unfit at the moment aswell but I'm also a sucker for pain so planning on giving the 60km a go this year if all goes well.
  25. Hi there and welcome Wian, like I always say "start them young".Its good to have a dream like yours, as long as you realise you have to work hard to reach it, it won't just come to you if you sit back and wait. All the best and never forget to have fun along the way.[emoji1690]
