  3. Any other fans of 'The last man on Earth' would be delighted to know that it has returned from hiatus. A new episode aired today. I must admit to thoroughly enjoying this show. Its completely stupid. But also offers some inciteful humour given the plot context. http://www.fox.com/sites/default/files/video-image-thumb/lme_first_look_2500_1280x720_395511363898.jpg
  4. I lost interest in Colony after the second episode but I'll give it a second chance. I finally binged through the second season of True Detective while recovering at home with some bruised ribs. The story unravels in a far more linear fashion than the first season. It felt as if I was being spoon fed at times. What made the first season so enticing was how they moved between timelines and told the story from different perspectives. But I was inclined to see it through because it promised closure. In the end I have to agree that it deserves to be given more credit. It was worth the watch.

  6. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I actually like Dirty Dancing. Its not like Top Gun or Pretty Woman that you can enjoy watching every other year or so. But there have been an occasion or two where the mood strikes for some classic cheese.
  7. Ag we just made out.
  8. Back in high school I took this goose on a movie date for some Titanic. I figured I might as well suck it up because she was really pretty. And yea I was a teenager and imagined it would pay off in the end. Like any school girl she was pretty excited to see it...AGAIN. Although probably more excited that I would be seeing it for the first time. Anyways. To save time she suggested getting some snacks while I got the tickets. I agree. I get to the counter and I look at the posters. 'Titanic' running time 3 hours. I just couldn't do it. I looked at the rest of the posters: 'Two tickets for Mouse Hunt please' Then I see her approaching popcorn in hand with this adorable expression of excitement. I figured that when the ticket guy showed us where our theater number was I'd act surprised that they sold me the wrong tickets at the counter. I'd pretend to shrug it off like I didn't mind and since she's seen it before it wouldn't be a big deal. Instead the rush of people at the movies were all there to see Titanic and nothing else. The ticket guy stood by idly as patrons made their way into the only movie worth seeing. I just went along with the flow of people because I was kind of banking on the ticket guy to stop us and I had no plan b. Then we get inside and its complete pandemonium. Perhaps some context is in order here. We're talking Westgate Mall, Mitchells Plain in the late 90s. The kind of place where the Nice Time Kids bought all their 9 caret gold pinky rings and where you could get a snoek off the back of a bakkie on your way out. The kind of place where movie ushers didn't really care about the barrel of KFC you brought into the theatre, or that blanket for the little picnic you and your friends have planned under the screen. Just make sure you smoke your boom outside and not in here. But some order was necessary on this occasion. It was raucous in there. With far more patrons than there were seats available. There were multiple simultaneous screenings of Titanic and they needed to direct people. Ushers started looking at tickets and ticket numbers. He looks at my tickets. Then at me and the pretty girl munching popcorn. Respite was near. The lie I have lived for so long would finally be revealed. I waited to be ejected from the theater. Then he responded. 'Nee man jy sit da bo'. He then cordially proceeds to escort us to the top while we followed. There were already people comfortably nestled in 'our' seats. They were not to be f'd with either. Two rowdy ladies with gold slitted false teeth and oversized t-shirts. He made it clear that their 'unattractive rear ends' (paraphrasing of course) were not welcome and that they had to go and watch Titanic in the theatre next door. They told him some things about his mother and made their way out. We sat down. The pretty girl turned to me and smiled. We watched Titanic.

And nothing to stop him from selling off his wares after having his 8 year old do some of the rebranding.

  15. Not everyone will appreciate the attention to detail here. From colours to components. I wont change a single thing. A superb blend of new and old school. The frame tubing, colour scheme and saddle choice were meant for each other. The BB cups, heatset and fork dials is just enough blue. They could have easily went with the same blue on the hubs but chose not to. It would have been overkill. Absolutely gorgeous.
  16. I can't seem to figure it out. I'm a sucker for tubing though. Looks long. Like Mondraker long. The Twostroke I posted above makes me weaker in the knees. Looks like the love child of an Orange 4 and Cotic Rocket. Both bikes sporting old school straight head tube sexyness

  21. I saw X. Then read Erotica. I'll see myself out thanks.
  22. I miss the days when parts hierarchy was simply labelled numerically. Juicy, elixir, 1,3,5,7 etc. It was easier to keep track of what was what. Then I had to start learning to count in Roman numerals and now I'll probably have to learn Klingon
  23. Who ever said you need mountains to go mountain biking...
  24. I was gonna pop in today regarding this stuff. Guess I'll see you next week.
  25. Its one of those things that when somebody else asks about it. I tell myself nooit. I just wouldn't risk it. Especially considering the bikes intended purpose. But whats the harm in asking? The fork in question is a 2009 Marzocchi 66 RCV. It has a straight 1-1/8 steerer tube. I tried fitting it and its about 15mm too short. Lets just say that the stems top bolt doesn't clamp anything. http://www.marzocchi.com/System2/16220/66-RCV_3.jpg Now I realise that when I actually bolt the steerers top cap into the star nut it will pull the fork up. But 15mm is a long way to go. http://www.sin-limite.com.ar/application/media/640_17795.jpg The real problem is actually the frame in question. Azonic Recoil. Both headset cups sit outside the frame. Doesn't look integrated at all. If it was. I wouldn't have this problem. http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb7828836/p5pb7828836.jpg What are my options? I'm currently running an old dual crown sherman. But I love me some single crown sexiness. I hope to achieve something similar to the bike below. http://i.imgur.com/0l1JD8j.jpg
