  15. Just remember that the top players/riders/athletes etc gets to use the best or personalised equipment, thus the Nike spikes you and I can buy isnt nearly the same quality , weight etc as the one's that the world's best run in. So although it might seem as if the mass market appeal downgrades the brand name, the opposite is actually true. The GM bats that you can buy and the one's the top batsmen use is worlds appart. They dont necessarily sell those as it really is exclusive (read, not affordable), and the co probably only makes a few of them anyway. Saw an article today where Reebok is offering a $10000 reward for anyone that can return the hockey stick and gloves the Canadian, who shot the winning goal in Vancouver against the US at the winter games, used. He tossed it away after scoring to celebrate and never got it back.

    2:50 Argus

did my first Argus on this Daccordi. I was in the SANDF and this was the perfect opp to get away from the unit for a week! Was running fit and could do a 2.4 in less than 7 mins. Cycling was another story though!! Good memories 1990/03/10The Argus M-Net Cycle Tour10503:36:48 2816/11235 Trubie2010-03-02 07:04:09
  22. I would suggest, rather go and do the SBR on its own first, you will have a very good idea of how your body react to the reserve. then as a next ride attempt your idea. To do the long loop is about 60 km's, add to that the reserve and the odd km's there and back off the lido loop and youll get more than the 140 you plan. maybe do it in your car first (the route you plan) and then take a decision. the reserve is a tester at the best of times
  23. no its not the same entrance most riders enter and start at the Protea Hotel side, there is a parking area , toilets etc. you can start either side though If you only want to ride in and out again on other side, you will cut about a third of the route off 57/8 km's.
