We found the best place to ride was in the "gutter", just had to keep an open eye for branches but it worked well

    Trans Baviaans 2017

Did the race with a 2.1 rear @ 1.5 bar and 2.25 front at 1.3 bar and not even that helped with those damm corrugations. Was riding long distances with suspension fully open but that did not eve help on those roads - was my 3rd and that first 100km's REALLY hurt but ended on 13:00:34.
  4. Swop the alu frame for carbon - should get the weight under 50 kg's oh and you do not need 100mm I-beams for bike rack frame
  5. Wonder who has the KOM on Strava for the river crossing?

  11. Damm - Started in 2D last year and did a 3:14 and thought that seeing that I'm in way better shape and managed to take 18 mins off my time for the 99er this year it might just be possible. Will be my second CTCT and I will still give it a solid go. Anyone out there also in 1M that would like to give it serious horns and try?
  12. What will my chance be of doing a sub 3 if I start in 1 M group?

  14. Nice little route Start in Stellenbosch - over Hells Hoogte past Pniel, turn right to Franschoek and head towards Franschoek Pass, over the pass to the dam and then back again to Stellenbosch on the same route. Nice views with a few climbs.
  15. I have 1 entry for sale for R400 if any bdy is interested
  16. Hi Americo, we both lost the group there but you just kept fighting to the finish and that's all that count. In what time did you finish?
  17. There is a nice group of beginners riding all over Cape Town early in the mornings - I think they call them selves Team Pure Savage or something like that ........... On a non popcorn note, I agree with the ride from Camps bay to top of Suikerbossie for a start as the climb up to the top is not that bad, just watch out for cross winds on very windy days.
  18. Marc at Swift bikes in City centre
