  1. Can anybody explain why Damean Oosthuizen wasn't selected? I haven't seen or heard more from anyone else in the junior road racing scene than him. Saw an article on facebook about him, he's gotten podium at every race he's entered and on national level as well. If i remember correctly his argus time was 2:39. It doesnt make sense to me how somebody with that talent isn't there? Maybe writing matric exams in that time period, but other than that it's ridiculous to not have him there while there are other names that aren't even heard of.
  2. My timing was spot on to my garmin. Really a great event and was very well organised, besides the above mentioned fact that there were no marshalls at the starting gates, but I'm sure that didn't ruin the race for anyone. Does anybody know if all of the trails used in the race are open to the public? And if they are is it part of a conservancy/reserve where you need to buy a permit?

  6. I think they should just allow you to upload pictures from the mobile site, other than that I can't think of anything that could be improved by making an app, unless if they want it to be more of a social network
  7. Don't really have experience with Solomons but I've heard they're good, and a lot of the best use them, but then again I might've only heard the better reviews
  8. If you don't mind paying, I would say Solomons are the best, otherwise Adidas Kanadia's are a good option too
  9. Can't go wrong with S-tracks!! Or you could consider crank bro's eggbeaters or candys, depends how much play and float you like on your pedals..
  10. Really great event, very fast, it was my first 60km, somehow when my father entered he tried to enter me as well (I'm 16 and u/18 riders aren't actually permitted to do 50km+ races) and they accepted my entry, anyone know of any other junior riders that did this race?
  11. Hi hubbers, I have a pair of brand new and unused Specialized Roval wheels which I am looking to sell. Can anybody help me out how much these go for? They were taken off of a 2014 Spez Epic comp, wasn't even put on the bike. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks.
  12. I have the spez mtb sport!! Great shoes and very comfortable!!
  13. I'd also go for the momsen! Had the 2013 big nine TFS 300, nice bike but its weight is a disadvantage...
  14. I saw another thread about this, apparently it was a heart attack, just before the finish line of the 70km marathon, very sad, condolences to the family...
  15. I am a member of the club and they still don't let me in everytime for free!

  17. I live in Bethlehem, Wolhuterskop is the best, I ride there weekly, there are a lot of great trails and single track around here, not really sure about routes from Reitz to here but I can find out for you! Just by the way Lamber is incorrect it is not free to go into wolhuterskop unless you are a member of the club or go in illegally but its only a R15 entrance!
  18. Silverback Sola 4 for you, great value at just above 7k!
  19. Had the same dillema, had to decide between a new spez crave expert for 16000 or a 2nd hand GT zaskar pro carbon for the same price, decided to go for the zaskar, and havent regretted it for a single second, just a bit more of a risk with a dual-sus...
  20. How much does that bike weigh? Must be extremely heavy!!
  21. 6 with mtb bars!! How much will these shirts cost?
  22. Or maybe you could take a look at a GT Zaskar Carbon Elite, great bikes and the triple triangle design is the best! But can't go wrong with a Scott either!
  23. Thanks for the advice! Such a pity they don't make Quartz pedals anymore! And does anyone have any experience with Time MX pedals?
