  1. That the plastic guides for internal frame routing must not be pulled out untill the cables are fastened on it - what a B@lls up , had to take frame to bike store to get the cable routed and man did they nail me on labour

Giving the IM events a miss for 2020 - having done EL & PE both 3 years in a row - wanting to start life after IM - events just stupid expensive now - opting to rather go on 5 -6 race holidays with that monies (pool fees, travel, accom. entry fee, nutrition) - lets see wat OMTOM and argus etc brings But i wont shoot the event, ill be there to support.

  6. Hi i recieved quite a bit sponsered from them for IM2019 and eL Quality is excellent on them there cycling pads are thick tho and take some getting used as i came om TYR brand which is thiner, jackets and wind breakers i absolutely love, as well as there tri shorts Abit biased as i didnt pay for them, but i will def buy if im in need again

  9. TYR special ops 2.0 or nothing ! The silicon is uber comfy , I swear by them having used others I’ll never if try anything else. The transitions are cool until the tint wears off about a year of swimming caused that, I use thes for darker days now, and have a polorised darker pair for early morning swims
  10. lol nah standard height, just think being nearly 4 yrs old with that little knock it was over
  11. Dropped my helmet from the dresser and cracked the foam on my Tri helmet. No crash replacement just forked out for another. Google shows me planters for the old nogin protector but the wife is way to bouje for that tomfoolery around the house. Any ideas before tossing it? And not that I’m a tree huger but lately I got into reusing items - like my old wetsuit became a bouncy shorts for the pool, chain became a cassettes removal tool, old cracked frame went to the local nursery for a display (well not yet, owner needing a few more old items before making it look like a bike), simply toss it? It’s not in a condition to donate
  12. Awesome ! u sir should get a bells - we need more people like this in the world
  13. Was my third one also being in a row - definitely a faster bike route , cant imagine coming back on the marine against the beast from the east. Crowd support was lousy - yes there were people but far less then other years - the new bike route keeps people from getting in until the bike cut off - plenty of my mates and fam gave up trying to get in - think this must be adressed.
  14. Dont know if this is seen as doping but a buddy uses the herb like i use gels - on the bike swim run you name it hes high as a kite - for Ironman he had them in muffins as he couldnt spark up - and trust me u could see when he had a hit , how he "flew" past you lol

  19. I ended up going with the zaffiro fold ups oom cris had at one stage for R149 a pop - over 8000 km and it’s time for the bin included in that was 2 x70.3 n 2 Ironman events, I did start to wonder on the second Ironman if I should not replace but was so cash strapped the gamble paid off,the zaffiro do have tons of little cracks on the sidewalls from day one but it was all superficial, they do tend to cut up easy tho saw that even after a few rides I had knicks on them but they held up superbly , they a nightmare to fit onto fullcrums initially after a while they come off n on easily as I removed the rear for a old tire for the trainer (only one rim set n no luxury to swap out the rear) , decent rolling and good grip in corners with the thread pattern. I would def buy them again but they R300 a piece nw n recon at 300 I’d try something else , if they cheaper or cheap again I would not even think about it n just go for them again. Priced right these will be my go to training tire , n when broke just race on them as well like I did.
  20. Agreed way too expensive- my fam takes my pics only few I bought was for the first Ironman I did
