  1. IMHO a better option this wekend would be to ride other side of Grabouw...there by the Country club...that area drains well as it is mostly rocky/ quartz sand...not MUD/Clay/cow dung....
  2. Lourens river in flood!! This will surely be a great test to see how the trails around S_west has held up (or not!). spare a thought for all the FEW trail maintenance guys who will now have to go and fix all that for the REST of the crowd... Thankless job!!
  3. Got mine from Johan Bormann here onthe Hub....great service & delivery was prompt! BBB one...
  4. ha ha ha...Classic!!! I'm "sure" they "did" send you the invitation...you just "did" not get it...must be the WWW's fault???
  5. WHY DOES NO ONE WANT TO TOUCH / SLAP MY ASS??? it's ther for everyone to se... after all?? perhaps i should get off the dirt tracks and join the road fraternity...it's where all the action happens...
  6. Get hold of the route maintenace guys! They need this type of feedback!! Perhaps some markers overgrown/ removed?
  7. I take it your'e selling your road rig now??? :whistling:
  8. ha ha ha ....we've all been there...maybe just with less serious consequnences!! keep at it...your talent will improve on a logarithmic curve...
  9. They will most probably run there again...keep a watchful eye out for them...

  12. "Anything" to the wall????
  13. @ Blue.... you were practicing what i called "defensive driving" i.e. you summed up the situattion BEFORE it happened and YOU took appropriate action(s) BEFORE the **** hits the fan... Well done!! That is how everyone should drive... If I have to choose bewteen hitting a bunch of runners or swerving into traffic...i'll choose the runners = soft landing and better chance of survival.
  14. Cool! Where are you selling? I'll support you.... If you park at the Root 44 market...I recon you'll have your R60k in two months and some spare cash...that place is cooking - even in winter time!
  15. You are fast becomming a world class cyclist yourself!! Keep this up and we will also be following you in the world cup events!!
  16. It's only in episode 2 that some unfortunte sucker got a photo stapled to his chest!! ha ha ha... and another got his head bashed in for stalking Ray's girlfriend...
  17. \ Yip!! - must agree - this show looks liike it will keep me glued to the telly for longer than I wished for!! Ray Donovan...vattikakki!!!
  18. I would challenge that statement by way of Hub feedback here...you would have heard some negative feedback long ago already!! trust me... (do a poll if you feel lie it) Hundreds of guys here on the hub used quicklinks on many kinds of chains...only ONE feedback of a guy that saw his arse without wanting to...spinnkop's friend. BUT the details as to exactly what happend is unclear to me...
  19. Just goes to show...one is never too old to learn something new!! Must have happened quite a few times for the agent to come to this solution?? NOW, should I phone MY agent for the damn pesky creak sound that i have on my Anthem 29er?? {still looking for it}
  20. I also have the scrubber - believe me - by removing the chain and cleaning it... it get EVEN CLEANER than with that tool - anyone wants mine...it's collecting dust!!
  21. @WW - have you also noticed how easily accessable the REST of your bike become once the chain is off?? I mean - getting the derailer clean as well as your cassette is a breeze when the chain is out of the way!! Trust me...
  22. shucks!! you beat me...mine take ~1:28 min
  23. you forgot the vaseline... come payment time...
  24. I'd rather clean /fix /tinker on my bike than clean out my garage...
  25. I use parraffin - and keep on re0using the same lot for many times over - each time the grime/gunck just settles to the bottom and I decant into an new containes (powerade bottle). 350 mL have lasted me many months. When finished - you can burn it in your braai!! least impact on environemnt. PS: cleaning takes a couple of minutes - not hours as someome else reported...total overkill!
