    Old Rags

Usually after a round of "down the mountain" antics (read - no brakes)...I can use my soiled undies for bike cleaning... ain't gonna wear those babies again!!
  3. You guys can alos look for mineral oils / DOT's at the motorbike shops...bigger qty's and much cheaper than LBS...
  4. Just ignore it! Until you get a summons - then you can use that arguement with the prosecutor... should work to at least get you a reduction in fine...
  5. At that price you can afford to replace them monthly!!
  6. Tell her to HTFU!!! there if found a perfect place to drop my THFU bomb!!!
  7. And "the dome" just before that??? nobody watching the dome??
  8. This is an absolute scurge!! I have to constantly / consientiously remind myself NOT TO GRAB the phone and quickly look at the message - especially since i'm in a lift club with several kids who chop & change their lifting requirements.... I have to agree to anextend...this "new" mobile phone trend is probably worse than driving with two beers under te belt!!
  9. Go to sanddrif office - they will have a map for you...trail rides are included in your accomodation price. Happy cycling....truely awesome trails
  10. What jacquers showed there!! The exact video...I was referring to.
  11. THAT is EAXCTLY the benefit of tubeless...no more punctures/flats...even says so on the Stans bottle!! you're doing something wrong... Only huge 5mm + holes will not seal properly - for that you use a tyre plug - just like car tyres (obnly smaller) Side wall cuts - those you fix with a tyre boot - which you have to sglue on... <Me, i haven't had to repair a tyre in the past 3 years... now I probably jinxed myself by saying that!!
  12. So WHY is lumen output so important to you guys?? Basically sounds like a typical cyclist (i'm generalizing here!!) d!ck measuring contest to me... I got a magicshine light and I use it...it flippen bright...what more should I care about?? PS: for MOST of us - we vote with our wallets; Extremelights prices are very reasonable and the service that Hannes provides is great!! What more do you want? AND if those lights he sells were illegal (i.e patent infringement), surely SARS and the import police would have clamped down on his legitimate bussiness??
  13. Ther are some instructional vids available...youtube, i think Google is your friend...
  14. double thumbs up from me!! @Eldron...sometimes it's a pretty hard, tough outer shell to break thru?? ain't it?
  15. Amen brother!! More trails = happy campers!!
  16. Now kiss and make up you two... Both of you have hi-jacked a perfectly good thread advertising a new event. if it's too expensive for your liking - vote with your wallet!!! If a reader points the expensiveness out and commnets on that...so be it...no disrespect there..its his/her opinion! deal with it get over it....move on nothing to see here...
  17. WOW!! Had a quick look at your web shop...Dang!! those prices are great!! Here's a free BUMP to you....those Conti tyres are very reasonable...for 29'ers...wow!!
  18. Welcome TeenKid....quite an ask for a firts post. Basically all the purpose made cycling clothing have the specs that you've mentioned... BUT they are expensive (most of the times!!)...in this case..."goedkoop koop is duur koop!!" meaning the cheap stuff doesn't last...buy good brands - they will last you for years.
  19. What are brakes??? Never felt the need to use them....it's balls-to-the- wall for me....
  20. I've heard (reliably) the single from Thandi is probably some of the best inthe area!! Itching to get myself there... I also heard (reliably) that there are some Free MTB trips startting from the Oude Molen distillery (sometime in August)..check out the Stillwater website...
  21. Must agree - teflon is a pretty hard plastic...unlike rubbers (especially the ones in brakes)...and should withstand all sorts of oils and additives that they might have in them... Mineral oil... is mineral oil... is mineral oil....but is NOT DOT x type oil!!
  22. Hello mand welcome!! May i suggest you try the Wannabee cycling club - they are based in Somerset west but cater for all ages / skills / fitness levels... both road and MTB.... also check out all their tracks in and around Stb/S-west!! http://wannabteam.co.za/
