Been looking at the BMW panniers for my GSA but they go for around 850 quid. Even on eBay they are few and far between and go for large coin. was reading Ride magazine and they had an article on best buys. One of the items was Oxford soft panniers. Bingo moment. Looked into it. Oxford P50s are 199 retail. I thought that’s a lot of cash for something I am not 100 percent sure would work due to high exhaust and pannier racks. Looked on eBay. 35 quid including postage. Boom. Also bought a top bag for 27 quid. and can use this system on all my bikes. Does not look brilliant but will get the job done and some. spot the orange cable ties. Proper Pooratech.

So, Euros start. Usual suspects are favourites and bookies seem to favour England. We wait n see. hope belgium pull it off. It’s time the golden boys win something.

I recently had my road bike serviced. This my winter road bike. Aluminium Lapierre CP 500. Bought new in 2017 on end of year sale. Paid 900. 105 components throughout. 13000 winter km but I do check things from time to time. service was 591 pounds. Never have I spent that on car or motorcycle service. I was a bit floored. But. It’s thorough. Everything stripped and regreased and replaced rear derailleur , head bearings, hunt wheel bearings, cassette, chain, all cables, handle bar tape. (Lizard) bike flies now so money well spent. Faster n my summer carbon jobbie which means it probably needs a the same treatment. performance degrades slowly so not noticed.

And won a few Lego items on eBay. Used but dismantled and put back into packets. Paid about 50 percent of new pricing. lad loves them, job done.

And again 29
