I got the verdict from the doctor about my meniscus: I need an operation to get rid of the rip in it but we scheduled it for after my holiday! Yay! I just need to be careful with it, he advised against hiking on rough terain

Another Saturday with almost spring-like weather! Did 68km, was great! (Don't know why it turns the pictures sideways)

There were no trains between work-town and home-town so I took my old bike that I use in work-town all the way to hometown!24km on this old and heavy bike. But it's actually a really good city bike, it only took 10min longer than on my roadbike.

I was chuffed with having ridden 220km this year

So by the time you're sitting under that waterfall, you've already done 200km? Man, I would've called it a day by then and grabbed a cold beer or 5

That's just mad! I'd plan that as a scenic car drive for a day.... That just asks for more pictures respect!

YES! Only 4 weeks, this is more exciting than Santa Claus for a 6 yr old! Unfortunately no training this weekend, it's back to freezing and even a little snow + got my nephew over for the weekend. With my registration, I paid a little extra to support another rider. Does anyone know how that works? It's only 150ZAR so not enough to cover the whole fee. How many riders benefit from this and how do they get selected?

Went to see the orthopaedist today, he suspects I have a rip in my front meniscus (I can't strech my knee fully anymore). I have a scan next week to know more. He was mentioning a possible keyhole surgery. Whatever the outcome, I will refuse any treatment until after our holiday. Nothing will stop me from doing the CTCT Argus this year! Since I don't have any pain or don't feel any restrictions in movement, I assume I can risk to postpone any treatment until after our holiday.

biked to work for the first time this year, weather was great +/- 9°, 24km, perfect. Tried out a new bike lane, along the train tracks, and noticed further works on the way to continue the bike path all the way into town, yay! (sorry for the bad quality of the pics)

I had to read that 3x before I understood it properly, pfew!

This post gave me butterflies in my stomach, can't wait to be there!

Back to single digit temperatures (7°) but the sun is out and hardly any wind. Just a short ride of 30km to get my total above 100km for this month :-)
