My cat is a real alpha-male. I always wonder how he'd react if you'd put him with a real big cat. Hehe. He's been whining a lot this week. I think he senses that we're almost leaving. I started packing today and now he's sleeping on the luggage.

I was hoping to get some more km's done this weekend but the forecast here is wind and rain and wind and rain... oh, and cold. So no riding anymore before take off. (I don't want to risk catching a cold either!) I've done 311km so far this year, ok, it's not a huge amount but enough to make the CTCT a pleasant ride, I hope.

I'd be happy for you Capetonians for the rain even though I'm sick of it here. At least the temperatures are above 20°

Do the water/ drink points give out energy bars as wel?

bananas! I love bananas :-) I'll take that + a few energy bars. oh yes, and that burger afterwards is an absolue must. Isn't there a place in CPT with real burgers instead of McDo?

Speaking of feeding strategy: what do you all eat the day before, and for breakfast and what would you recommend for some one who will need about 5hrs to complete? Just energy bars along the way?

not much riding this week, just my daily ride to the train station, due to nasty rains and even a storm last night, a lot of branches ripped off. But a lovely sunrise this morning
