  1. From what you are saying here, if you can at all afford it I don't think you should be buying a Nespresso machine, get a proper semi-auto.
  2. Take him up on it, nice guy
  3. When next in PTA, visit The Lucky Bread Company in Brooklyn mall and get some love from their Mirage. Mmmm....
  4. They are on the list! Where can I get some matt cappuccino cups with black outside and white/cream insides? Similar to those at Woolies or Lucky Bread?
  5. We have had the Jura F50 for a few years now and have done 8000 cups with only the standard maintenance needed. I can really recommend it if you are after a superauto machine, where I think Jura is the way to go.
  6. No these aren't for the girl. Coffee cleaning equipment
  7. Finally have a place to put my Vespa cups. All the way from Venice, Italy. The red goes nicely with the red in the Oscar
  8. Give Beaver Creek pods a try. Local is lekker!
  9. Lots of of different ways to make coffee that don't cost much ie. Aeropress. But I guess they take more time and PT than Nespresso.
  10. Happy Martin I will PM you about the machine.
  11. Yip, that Oscar has quite the steam power to it! But better that than weak steam from a SBDU
  12. Nothing wrong with plunger/french press, but it's more involved than Nespresso to get a good cup. Also as there's basically none of the pressure involved with Nespresso/espresso, the whole flavour profile will be different, so it pays to experiment with a coffee type that works in that method that you like. What works for me is: grind right and fresh, heat the press with hot water, use around a heaped tablespoon of grounds per cup, use water just off the boil to saturate the grounds evenly, wait for them to bloom and then stir. Steep for about 4 minutes according to taste and press down firm and consistantly. Pour en savour. Mmm! If you want more of an espresso type coffee in the bush the Aeropress should be a better bet.
  13. Yip thanks GB I'm looking forward to it! Must say that the little Krups isn't doing too badly for what it is, but the inconsistency is quite obvious. Starting to get some better foam, poured a sort of artistic looking trampled flower
  14. Finally got my Oscar. Very happy with it, just my skills are barista that are lacking Excellent service from Alessandro at Tazzadoro, we talked coffee for over an hour and he was still willing to see me 6:30pm on a Friday! 2nd hand Mazzer Super Jolly Grinder to follow in the week Going to get it serviced and sprayed to match the Oscar

  20. Slayer Espresso. HO.LY.****! Single group on its way
  21. Well just stay out of fountains for the time being. They caught another guy there on Sunday. Very dodgy looking.
