  1. I hear you! In principle it is actually very simple but putting all the steps together correctly ain't so easy... Do watch the Verve Coffee Roasters milk steaming and latte art videos, they have really helped me. Also Scott Rao's tutorial on steaming and pouring. I have found the correct placement of the jug and amount of milk in the pitcher for my machine, so foam is OK. A tip from me is use a smaller cup, and put the jug with its spout on the edge of the cup and tilt to pour. Easier to control the speed of the pour and with the small cup you can basically tilt it down and pour fast so the heart starts forming immediately, once it starts showing up on the crema move forward slightly, keep the flow and then when its full lift and pour through to split the heart. With a bigger cup you have to first fill and then drop down to do the art which is another step to bugger up. With the small cup you just pour full gass from the start. Maybe not the correct way but give it a try. Works for me. As for the wiggle to do a rosetta - I'll worry about that when I can do a nice heart consistently
  2. Still working on the art, but getting closer!
  3. Nope haven't heard of them yet.
  4. Anyone have info on the hiking trails? Last I heard the huts were closed and routes in a terrible state.
  5. Interesting, never saw him as an XCO rider.
  6. Then you need to work more at educating the market no?
  7. I just find it pretty hilarious seeing images of people throwing (medicine?) balls against a wall next to each other. Sure it's a good work out but looks pretty daft. Seems to be the new in thing though. Just looking at some of the weights some of the ladies deadlift I'm wondering if there aren't a lot of people getting injured with Crossfit? I'm lazy to go to the gym, even though we have one where I stay. I can recommend the book by "Fast" Eddie Lambert called "Be your own personal trainer". Contains different levels of exercises for everything from swiss balls to therabands. With pre-planned workouts as well. Perfect for core/strength/plyometric sessions for endurance sports.
  8. Would like one of these jerseys
  9. Great to hear Koos is better! It's positive that the driver did not just drive away.
  10. Same thing crossing an intersection with cars wanting to turn right; they totally underestimate the speed that you are going at and mostly decide to go at the last minute. Road bike disk brakes seem like a good idea to me. Glad you got off OK cois
  11. We've had an F50 for around 7 years and we are very happy with it in terms of a Superautomatic machine. If you want convenience with more choice in terms of freshers beans than the Nespresso machines it rocks. With the frother upgrade I found it easier to produce froth for a sort of cappuccino looking drink. However there's little to play with so if you want cafe quality coffee with manual control this is not your type of machine.
  12. Left her number!? I have no words
  13. Saw on Twitter his bike was broken in half. All the best too him, hope he recovers quickly! Didn't know him well but he seemed like a good guy.
  14. Selling mine for less... https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&module=core&do=view_item&item_id=52674&new=1
  15. From what I understand if it's too thick you may have overheated or you should stop introducing air and just spin the milk (lift the jug upward) when it starts warming in your hand, around 100 degrees Farenheit I think?
  16. Yeah bought one but don't really use it, end up looking at it and not concentrating on what I'm doing. Trying to get it right on feel/sound/sight/smell
  17. With your accident rate, I think a 100m restraining order is a better idea
  18. Watched it on Travel Channel. Todd is currently in Uganda as we type, having had the Police there take his knife and had a new one made. Check @toddCarmichael on Twitter and La Colombia Torrefaction coffee roaster. http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/dangerous-grounds
  19. Cadenceblur you're doing pretty well there with the last two!
  20. But I don't see any bubbles? Haha well a lot better than before, but I see what you mean. Need to do the soap thing at some point. I don't have friends
