  1. I was there, just came back from a trail run there to the parking lot to find the ambulance, cops etc. Wasn't a lekker sight. Apparently the guy had an epileptic fit and and they brought him down to the main road but the paramedics could unfortunately not get him resuscitated.
  2. Getting there with the art!
  3. Keen, specially for tri and trail running as well. Need more pics to see all pockets though.
  4. Lekker two more Oscars getting out there! Getting used to versus what? You can change the tip if you want but if you've never used a machine of this class yet it can feel overpowering. Versus a Linea it's barely a cough. Milk heats quickly if you only steam enough for one cup, so you don't have much time to get air in before having to incorporate it into the milk. The knob allows you to control the steam power so it's not just on/off. My only gripe would be that the tip can be a bit short for only a little bit of milk to get it properly submerged and also a bit strong for that, but for a big cup or 2 small cups you are fine.
  5. Awesome! Hope Allessandro helped you out?
  6. Hey dudes those of you doing Otter this year or trail runners in general, GU and Salomon are hosting a "Training Day" at Groenkloof this Saturday with Otter coach Ryan Hodierne. Feel free to join us! http://www.guenergy.co.za/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=260:otter-training-day-with-gu-salomon-and-ryan-hodierne&Itemid=3
  7. Hope they are OK! Doubt they can replace the bikes though, if there are any hubbers that have something suitable lying around maybe we can help them out?
  8. Ja really "an attack"? Guess the Camelhorse tried to bike jack them You're in nature and screwing with a big bull, predictable result. Hope they realise this and don't want to do anything to the bull.
  9. Great still love it no issues! Still get the odd coffee wrong and need to buy a proper grinder just been lazy. I am however not finding coffee I really like or that's fresh but will keep trying different varietals
  10. Renay, who I think the OP is referring to, hasn't ridden many WC XCO races AFIK so realistically top 50 is a good result. Phillip is there, he just needs a bit of time and more experience abroad. He's done what, one season focusing on XCO doing WC races? Look at Burry's initial races, he was all over the show. It takes time plying your trade on the WC circuit to get anywhere, same as road racers needing to hit euro land to get that racing experience. With that experience come UCI points and ranking so you can start toward the front. With the courses as they are you are going to have to work REALLY hard to make up so many places to finish well if you start at the back with all that singletrack. Our guys don't race WC much so don't have a good ranking so have to contend with crashes in the pack, sitting behind riders etc and are exhausted as they need to gas it to pass everyone. IMO with the interest in marathons here and the lack of XCO races and interest and participation in them together with very little experience on the WC XCO circuit how can we expect to have our riders up there? We are actually doing very well (taking above into consideration) with promising U23 talent, just hope they nurture them into the elites well. Worlds is also one race, if you screw up that's it, versus a WC season where you get more chances.
  11. Never mind him watch out for the Guinefowls when they have chicks, they get hectic
  12. How is the safety? Bit of dodgy area I hear
  13. We've done about 8K on the Jura F50 with no real issues
  14. I would just like to point out my 26" Stan's Podium MMX alu wheels are still 50g lighter B) But seems these should ride way better etc.
  15. I just made a mess in my pants http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/stans-notubes-valor-carbon-wheelset-introduced-38264/
  16. Try Eddie Lambert's "Be your own personal trainer book" has all types of core, strength and plyometric exercises in it explained (sections on bosu balls, therabands etc) with images and levels together with programs for different levels put together so you can start with easy and progress to extra hard, which is doing push-ups with your feet on medicine balls and hands on another You can get one at Sportsman's.
  17. Whoop!
  18. Love the kid "You should learn some manners"
  19. May be something to look in to. A few questions: Do 5 guys get on the podium at Enduros? How's the racing calender like? Exposure in the media for Enduro? What are you doing for the sponsors other than results?
  20. Mag hy lank sit!
  21. Not readlly EDC but I do use them most days.
  22. Yeah we're cool like that Glad you are OK and heel up soon. Should show this to my fellow trail runners that always moan about compulsory kit. With situations like this and another guy falling in a race in CT and having to wait 3 hours to be carried off the mountain you know why! Now I wonder if the MTB'ers at KK will stop asking us if we lost our bikes...
  23. Go ride them if you can, need to keep geometry in mind and also you need to like what you are buying at the end of the day.
  24. I R havings it alls yes. Just been to lazy to backflush, need to do it at some point, probably next weekend.
  25. Yes needs a flush as it has a 3 way valve. Mine did not come with a blind basket. Descaling there doesn't seem to be an easy way as there is now water spout, or what V12?
