  1. It is suppose to open directly from the Polar training program. And it in facts opens Google Earth, but then fails to open the ride details. Gives me the following comment: "Could not open file C:\Program Files\Polar\Polar Pro Trainer\MoonMan\2010\10032101.kml for reading"
  2. Exclusive Books - Bayside
  3. I am from the Parklands area and looking for hubbers to explore the mountain with me. These days one cannot go it alone, what a pity!!
  4. I just bought a map "Table Mountain & Cape Peninsula Activities" It has got all the MTB trails as well as walking trails for the entire Table Mountain. I am very impressed... It is a 1st edition, so a new map, well worth the R102.00...
  5. It is a .kml file...
  6. So I just used my GPS Sensor for the 1st time. Download the route fine, but when I want to download/open it with Google Earth it tells me that it cannot read the spesific file Polar training file. Can anyone help?
  7. Hey, did you hear how bad the wind was last year?
  8. Damn, this is really sad news. RIP... <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am not doing the Argus, but why does everyone not pitch in black bands on the day to show our solidarity and empathy to these 4 families (plus all the other that have been involved in similar incidents) and voice our dissatisfaction to the carnage on our roads. Come on all, time to stand together; 30 000 is a strong voice to have!!! Hub Admin ? Can you coordinate this?
  9. Pity I was hoping (wishing) that he will race...
  10. Thanks Hubbers, now I know exactly what to do!! And would you not love to know what that will be...
  11. You guys are not really helping here...
  12. Is this a personal choice or are there advantages/disadvantages in riding with either one. Especially when it comes to climbing and single track...
  13. So I just just came back from another Majic Forest/Hillcrest loop, what fun!! Moonman also found the "Honesty Box" and is now a fully paid up MTBiker. I cannot wait to do the new ST that is being completed as we speak!!!
  14. Cool, I will be there at about 5pm today, once again after Majic Forest. And yes, I will remember to pay double...
  15. Thanks Dirtman, also got your PM... I will pay double next time. You guys are stars, and we are all looking forward to the end result. And I am sure that all riders making use of this will pay, we understand the effort that goes into this!! That's why I, for one went to this trouble, I do not want you to loose out on one payment!! And hopefully it also helped to create some awareness and answer questions that other riders may have... And I will look into the club... Thanks for the tip!
  16. Sorry guys, it is in Cape Town - Durbanville Hills
  17. So I just came from a magic ride in Majic Forest and then did the new MTB Single-track at Hillcrest (2nd time). <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Well done to the team (I think it is the Amariders?!) that has done this (and I am aware busy in the background to get us more tracks, through more farms), this is just amazing! Unfortunately there was no one that I could pay my R20, for the use of the track to. The restaurant was closed and I could not find the Honesty Box (not to sure if this will work, the Honesty Box that is, but well done for trying). I also saw other riders who no doubt had the same problem... Fact is, I want to pay, because it is so worth it! So please pm me with details on what to do if I have a similar situation in future and how to handle this case.
  18. It was a rather spectacular crash. I was in the bunch just behind this and had a ring seat view on the crash. And they say man cannot fly - they did not see Uwe on Sunday!!
  19. Argus is way overrated boys and girls. They are way too expensive, and take all participants for granted. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Time to move on!
  20. Yip, me think I will not go for a win...
  21. and I am doing it after the 85 mtb the previous day...
  22. Does anyone have the 85km profile?
  23. It's a great new method of hydrating. You soak the pack in water' date=' then when you need a drink, you just suck on the bag. Works great and weighs less than a conventional bag with bladder, pipe and bitevalve.[/quote'] What the .....? Just ride in the rain!
  24. Start his own team... Armstrong's interest in owning a team may mean taking over the Astana squad for which he is racing (sans salary). According to a report by cyclingnews.com, "The team is under real threat of financial collapse and has a week to sort things out before the UCI withdraws the professional license." Astana, named for Kazakhstan's capital, is funded by a consortium of the country's industries. Apparently only one company has paid what it owes while several have said they cannot pay under any circumstances. It's known that rider salaries have been delayed. The VP of Kazakhstan's cycling federation is quoted as saying, "Personally I am almost sure that it won't be possible to rescue the team. Even if the team will be at the start of Giro d'Italia under its own name, in the future Astana will still be disbanded because the debt will only snowball, and there's nowhere to get the money."
