  1. Plenty Team riders use XTR levers with ZEE calipers.
  2. That Hope seems interesting indeed. Could expect some machining of a alloy somewhere.
  3. Got a pair of Leatt 3DF's. Thus far comfortable and do not seem to be warm. The peddle well and they do not move. https://www.pinned.co.za/knee-guards/
  4. Enduro MTB gave it great reviews. Seems that is handles incredibly well, has loads of traction going up and down stuff. Will remain very composed over a range of terrain conditions. Only criticism seems that it takes quite some skill to make it brake traction to induce sliding.
  5. Propain Tyee. Something very unique.
  6. Da Bomb has some serious specials at the moment. Many items currently at 50% discount. http://www.dabomb.co.za/
  7. https://sport.takealot.com/sport-nalini-prime-boxer-cycling-baggies-black/PLID41466860 I bought one of those at on a Daily Deal last year. They are super comfortable and really tough, mine has seen more than one crash and still looks really good. The liner is ultra comfortable, much more than any Alpinestar liner.
  8. Endura is excellent quality.
  9. How important would you rate a full face helmet for Enduro?
  10. And in many European and American locations there is infrastructure which was built for ski resorts which are brilliantly converted during summer for gravity orientated riding. Another lekker benefit is catching a ride back to the top with a ski lift, meaning you can blast down much sooner again.
  11. That Leatt is certainly on my wish to have list. https://www.leatt.com/shop/helmets/bicycle/helmet-dbx-3-0-enduro-v2-orange-teal.html
  12. Push Industry is represented in South Africa by RBC in PE. Robbie and his team are awesome at getting the best out of any suspension component. http://www.robbiesbicycleconcept.co.za/
  13. Thanks Pyka. I've read that one as well. And also read this one from my fav mtb magazine: http://enduro-mtb.com/en/the-best-mtb-knee-pads-you-can-buy/ But really would like to know from fellow Saffers who are not as lucky as journos who get to play with all the nicest toys. Especially living with a product for a year or so.
  14. Saw a 2016 Mondraker Foxy at the Mahala Magic last year. May I dare to say it was the most awesome looking bike I had ever seen in the metal.
  15. Input from more experienced riders on knee pads will be highly appreciated. Considering the knee pads that you have/had: - What do you like the most about your knee pads? - What would you improve on your knee pads? Any thoughts on the following for Enduro: - Dainese Trail Skins 2 http://www.dainese.com/row/en/trail-skins-2-knee-guards/203879686.html - Race Face Ambush https://www.raceface.com/products/details/ambush-knee-guards - IXS Flow http://bike.ixs.com/en/shop/flow-knee-pad Thanks very much.
  16. Into the Klein Karoo, took some dirt road out of town for the odd 2 hrs. Stunning views, the wind humbled me properly. An awesome afternoon.
  17. Have been riding in a pair of these since end of 2015. These are without doubt the most comfortable MTB shoes I have owned; they have proved durable and offer a great balance between power and flex. If I replace them, it will be with a similar pair without any doubt.
  18. I think the bike suits my character, and the Goblin suits the bike's character. Therefore your assumption is correct. But since stickers do not stay on my, they are better left on the bike.
  19. Thanks very much. Was a bit of a process finding someone to print exactly what I wanted. Thought that the Green Goblin suited the character of the bike quite a bit. I am looking at having set of decals made for the Fork with a similar design.
  20. The last upgrade now occurred. After months of waiting for my Fox to come back from a repair (not exhilarating, been waiting since July). Replaced the Reba with a Talas with 95-120mm travel. Short summary: Race Face 735mm Bars with Lizzard grips DaBomb 35mm Stem SRAM XX Shifters SRAM XX Rear derailleur Shimano XT Front derailleur Praxis wide range 10spd cassette Thompson Seatpost Fabric Scoop Saddle (fittingly with a green shell) Magura MT5 Brakes with 180mm Rotors, these things offer nearly too much power Loaded X-30 Wheels with Loaded Signature Hubs, excellent 30mm internal rim width I just love riding this bike and with the new fork it is going to be even more enjoyable and cannot imagine ever riding any other bike but a Pyga.
  21. Second comeback ride after pneumonia. Nothing spectacular just a ride out on the farmroads from Benoni to Pretoria and back. Also wonderful to ride with the rest of the green Pyga's. Wonderful feeling being on the trails again. Going to be hard work getting back.
  22. You might have misread? Going super short was the winner for me, using a 35mm stem on my 110.
  23. Made that post using a time machine? Share a bit, you built one wicked 110.
  24. Are you using a short or a long stem? Going for super short stem was a winner in my case? Anyway I also think long stems belong on road bikes.
  25. My Pyga 110. Have had this awesome bike about 10 months and still enjoy every moment on it. Short stem and wide bars has proven the absolute best option out of all the options I have tested on it. Also decided to wrap the cranks in something slightly unique. The Green Goblin seemed appropriate.
