  1. It looked like Sauser, Rabon, Stander and Nic Porteous
  2. I think Tread magazine had an article or stats. That may be from last year though. At a glance, Specialized was by far the most popular. Followed by Scott and then Giant, I think. A lot of the over seas riders had brands that I had never heard of or we don't get here.
  3. My plans to take photos at the Epic for the rest of the week is not in line with my Boss' plans for me... That little paved section is on the Stairway to Heaven switchback climb.
  4. I was absolutely amazed at how many 2014 S-Works Epics there were out there.
  5. A few shots I took today
  6. Spy shot: Curtis Keene's Prototype 650b Specialized Stumpjumper ? Curtis Keene, the Specialized sponsored Enduro racer, posted this picture of his brand new StumpJumper https://www.facebook...334303880024864 http://instagram.com/curtiskeene
  7. Gotta buy Lotto tickets first...
  8. Would it be OTT to put the new Campy Super Record RS gruppo on this frame?

I took my family to see it on Sunday. We all thought it was great. Quite busy & loud, but very well done.
  10. The 2014 695 Light in Carbon Red is a bit nice. But I prefer the Carbon Light option.
  11. Yupp. That's the one. Thanks for clearing that up. They obviously got over that incident.
  12. I thought Max and Kevin had words/argie bargie few years ago at a marathon event and weren't the greatest of mates?

  14. Wez-O: Sorry to hear of your crash. Glad you are OK though. When your grazes and whiplash have healed, you are left with a great story. One that you can dine out on for years to come! Apologies for the slight hi-jack My carbon frame was broken in last year's Argus (and replaced by insurance) Where in Cape Town could I get it repaired? (I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere before, but my search was futile)

I don't have DSTV, so missed that. Is it on YouTube yet? Anyone with a link?
  17. There was a guy in my small bunch coming down Chappies with Zipp 808's. It was almost comical seeing him tuck in, lean and prepare to take the left hand bends and then just move sideways across to the RHS of the road and almost totally miss the turn. The guys sitting directly behind him weren't as amused and I think their shorts required extra attention in the laundry.

3:00:20 for me. So very bummed! Group C caught B just before UCT, I think. We could see them leaving Town, so it was a good target to chase. it was pretty tense after that, with riders kerb to kerb. My brake pads are worn down - it was brake/sprint all the way to Smitswinkel. I saw 2 relatively minor crashes on the M3. Hope there were no more and those who did crash heal up quickly. Very happy to get to the finish unscathed and chill in the Nedbank tent

Has anyone been up/down Chappies this week? What have they done with the roadworks, barriers and stop/go stuff? The roadworks along the 12 Apostles to Bakoven stretch have been completed and tidied up nicely.
  20. I have been wondering about them and even had a look at them, but my self control would not be defeated.
  21. From Argust Expo (but mine is black)
