  1. I get my MBR magazine from Zinio in a similar format. What's also nice is all hyperlinks are active, so you can click straight to webpages from articles.
  2. How would a pair of ZTR Arch rims on Hope or XT hubs compare price wise from CRC? (I say Arch rims over Olympic 'cos I also weigh 100kg and have my eye on a pair)
  3. WOW, and I thought I was excited when my CRC order was delivered. Verry naais Krismas Bocks!
  4. Weight Weenies has a huge (and a bit old and outdated) database of weights: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/ Go to 'Listings'
  5. Well done. You did a proper job of that one! No half arsed efforts
  6. Probably are' date='..............let us know which one it is, cos the one I am watching,........ the "Le tour" is a complete yawner.! [/quote'] - Awesome individual timetrial by Cancellara - Team Time Trial very technical with plenty crashes - Leaders jersey decided by hundredths of a second - 23 year old Cavendish showing incredible performance and maturity. - Spinters team causes a split on a flat stage in the wind - Contador and Armstrong trading blows for team leadership - Breakaway stage wins. - Green, polka, and yellow all changing hands and hotly contested. Only the first week gone. I dunno, I'm really enjoying it so far. Yip, that's the Tour that I have been watching! Loving it! Yesterday was a bit boring though. And then my DSTV froze in the last 10km, so I missed the whole run in to the finish. Luckily I managed to catch it in the 30 min highlights package. I did miss the part where Levi got caught up in something and lost 15 seconds at the end.
  7. Hoping to win one in November!
  8. Phil: 'Its like I always say, There are still 3 Sundays of riding'
  9. Ja, Right!
  10. Good luck with the move. You will be right around the corner from my house! That is great, but really bad for my bank balance!
  11. You cant complain too much. We have had some good weather over the last few weekends. Not so terrible for middle of winter.
  12. This tube/tyre friction thing is often spoken about in tech reports. I dont understand why/how that is such an issue. Why does that slow me down or why is that a problem? (Not targetting you 101SCC)
  13. Tubeless conversions can be a P.I.T.A. Mavic 819 rims are UST. Stans have a whole range of rims which just require some tape. Neither fit into JB's criteria. But whatever rims you do get, spend some extra money and get them built properly. Fancy bits put together badly are useless and a waste of money.

  15. Do you feel better?

  18. I thought we werent allowed to post porn here?
  19. I think that the 717 wheels (inlcuding strips & tape) will still be 200g lighter than the 819 set. The 819's weigh about 550g by the time you have included the rim inserts for the nipples which should be 2x16mm and not the normal 14mm ones. I ride the 819's because I didnt want to do the whole conversion with strips etc. Next time I will look @ ZTR Arch or something.
  20. I am not sure if there are any ladies in the final tomorrow... hat, coat, door, SLAM!
  21. Bit of a dilemma. I have got DSTV just for the Tour, so that takes precedence. With a bit of luck I can catch the end of the rugger after the Tour.
