  1. They can charge what they want. The stadium will be full. A bit like the Epic...
  2. Tarmac - how can there we less space for controls on a wider rise bar than a narrow flat bar? Does the bend of the riser get in the way? I have wide shoulders, so I don't love narrow bars that much. My previous risers were too high, so I flipped the stem and removed the spacers - putting me in the same position as flat bars, but it looked funny. I also like riser bars for thier shape (sweep). So, apart from aesthetics, look at function. Consider your riding position and ergonics while you also get the looks right.
  3. 25mm is a lot to change at once. Maybe your optimim position should be higher than it was, but the change should be made gradually 5-10mm at a time so your body can adapt. Your saddle to bar relationship has obviously changed as well, perhaps your bars should move up a tad as well. That will definitely affect your back.
  4. JHD: You doing full cable outers? You could also use these widgets if you are concened. BBB Hydroclamps:
  5. That is one of the famous old R-Sys crashes.
  6. Nothing like a bit of smut on a Friday afternoon! Very nice. Looks simple and understated. Very smart indeed!
  7. You make it sounds like people stop at stop streets in general. As for stopping at traffic lights, it seems that as long as your rear wheel is near the last white line, you are 'at the traffic light'.
  8. You cant cross brand - Sram must go with Sram (but I think you can use a Shimano front mech).
  9. Nice writing there PP. (Now take your tongue out of your cheek and respberry everyone as you wave)
  10. I really like my Shimano M181's. Got them for R1400.00 a few months ago. The sole seems stiff enough and I really like the 3 straps + ratchet.
  11. I have chose 819 rims because I had the impression they were pretty strong and because they are fully UST and I didnt want to faff with conversion kits etc. They are not too light (but nor am I) and if I had the opportunity to build another wheelset with a bigger budget, I would look at Stans ZTR Arch rims on Hope Pro2 hubs with DT Comp spokes.
  12. I dont know what spokes were used here, but the pair also comes in at under 1500g.
  13. XT is supposedly a very good value for money vs durabilty/relibility option. Any colour as long as its black, but you may be stuck with Centre Lock. Hope is quite highly regarded as well. You may struggle to fit that into your 2 Grand budget (unless you go CRC). several colours but 6 bolt only. For big money, Chris King or I9 are the way to go. DT is also usually high up on the list. 6 bolt or CL options, I think. I saw someone with A2Z hubs & skewers. Dont know anything about those though... Dont forget to get a good wheelbuilder, or your fancy wheels will be worthless.
  14. I removed my displays so that the shifters sit under my brake levers. There is also scope for the shifter position to be adjusted on the clamp.
  15. Francois? Hells Bells, what happened? I saw him on Sat in Wolseley for the mtb. He did the 48kn on the tandem.
  16. Marius is a panzie and is to be ignored
  17. JD Bug or something like this?
