    Bling Rules

Road or mountain? Road bling should either be subtle (colour co ordinated saddle, tyres and or Hudz) or whole scale including custom anodized brake calipers, custom frame and the whole bolt kit) See Pantani's cervelo. Mountain bike bling - there are no rules. Those were chucked out the window when purple anodized components became available.
  2. OK, looking @ Nevegals again. They are about R350.00 @ CRC. Bos1000: Are you not running tooobliss ?
  3. A medium in one brand is often similar to a large in another. I had/will have an 18" (M) Giant Anthem, but would ride a 19" (L) Speciailized.
  4. Its difficult enough choosing tyres. To now decide on front and rear specific will burn my toast. I am taking them as a pair.
  5. I was waiting to see how long this would go on for... Does anyone know who that is?
  6. Still waiting for Mutual and Federal to get to grips with thier new filing system or something... Also waiting for a few items to re strock @ CRC, which might be soon according the the email reply I got from them yesterday. so get your shopping lists in order so we are good to go when the time comes.
  7. Ok, understanding you a bit better now. Why every second link?
  8. JB, how does your generously oiled chain cope with muddy conditions? I just picture the oil mixing with the mud and making a nice gringing paste. My White Lightning is useless and I dont use Squirt (yet), so am still searching for winter chain lube for my mtb.
  9. Stop beating about the bush. What is the "incorrect manner". Lathering it all over the place like you do with the oil you love so much.
  10. lube and ride - its fine (from a rust point of view) The Sani wasnt muddy enough to trash a chain, unless it was borderline before.
  11. JB - The right lube applied in the incorrect manner can be useless - if you look @ White Lightning and Rock & Roll and all the stuff that you dont like to use...
  12. Thanks for all the advice Crow. I would like a UST tyre and I think 2.35 is a bit fat for my Anthem frame, so looks like its the ADvantage for me.
  13. He looks like he knows more about fishing than bikes.
  14. Which Hubber is this? Taken from yesterday's People's Post front page
  15. OK, so the Mountain Kings are off the list. It seems like its down to the ADvantage then.
  16. Those ignitors remind me of the Mountain Kings a bit. I still cant make up my mind...
  17. I am waiting to hear back from insurance. If/when they get back to me - I will decide what/if I am able to order. There are also several items that I would like, but arent in stock. I will keep you posted.
  18. I saw them on CRC for ?31.99 (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=36117) and that's what got me thinking. I am planning on putting an order through in the near future.
  19. Has anyone ridden these or had any experience with them? I am looking at buying a slightly more aggressive tyre than the usual Crossmark seeing as winter is on the distant horizon. Its either those or Conti Mountain Kings... Opinions please.
  20. About 50% of the Sani riders had a Yeti of sorts. Looks like a popular bike.
  21. Try Kevin @ BMC in Woodstock Or Straatvark here on The Hub - trained by JB himself!
  22. Sorry to hear that man. I know how you feel. My Sani partner and I had our bikes stolen on Sunday morning. Also Anthems!
  23. I think everyone is pissed off about the idea of price fixing - the high cost of cycling stuff is a seperate rant and rave topic.
  24. Aircon working very nicely. I didnt want to leave!
  25. Those minutes were apparently not official, so I hope they have got more to go on than that. Besides, like SB, its not going to go very far and will take forever anyway.
