  1. The Last Supper: Cycling Legends https://road.cc/content/news/252556-last-supper-cycling-legends-hommage-leonardo-da-vinci-and-some-sports-biggest
  2. A requirement for our team is to have a balanced performance for the day. No use being a hero on the bike and a total damp squib in the evening.
  3. Wolftooth shiftmount Not sure if they are available here yet. Evobikes should be able to tell you. https://bikerumor.com/2018/11/26/wtc-shiftmount-marries-shimano-brakes-sram-shifters-plus-new-le-remote-colors/
  4. Looking at how you guys klapped it through the leafy suburbs of Swellies, I think that is where you made up a lot of your time

    Who remembers?

Where does 'broek naai' fit into that sequence?
  6. Looking forward to the race report
  7. Mixed Category: 1. Bluff Meat Supply Mixed 05:12:36 2. Cape Cycle Tours 05:13:42 3. Pure Savage Mixed Racing 05:36:32 A friend of mine rode with them (that's her holding the flowers up)
  8. I don't seem to remember any crashes in previous years. One happened 10m behind me on the fast section between Op de Tradouw and Montagu. Saw 2 others that must have just happened - lots of blood. Not great to see. I hoe that everyone involved isn't too badly hurt and heal up quickly.
  9. A lekker day out, as always. 12 riders x 200km = Lots of stories to tell over the fire that evening Good organisation and I think we were lucky with the weather (but I could have done with a tailwind instead of a headwind over the 3 bitches )
  10. There can be only one:
  11. Its a fenced off area with guards. Your bike number has to race the race number on your jersey to get out again. Or they give you a sticker or something. Its proper and trustworthy. More so than leaving your bike in the car out on the streets.
  12. Dream Colnago C64 build
  13. I will start with the weather predictions for Swellendam, Barrydale and Robertson:
  14. Is it too early to start worrying about the weather and obsessing over our bikes that aren't running perfectly or stressing about the slight sniffle that we picked up ? #paranoia
  15. My wife has one. Totally reignited her love for cycling edit:lucky daughter !
  16. My wife's team starts 1 1/2 hours before us. The chase is on!
  17. #Clydesdale Although,I wouldn't say that to his face
  18. So much of 'Eish!'
  19. Retro Bike Porn: Shimano Airlines https://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/shimano-airlines-for-sale-50239/
  20. Awesome riding! Those tracks/trails/paths are wider that some of our district roads!
  21. That met if not exceeded our expectations. I wasn't there on a shopping trip, nor for food. But my son spent some birthday money (knee pads) and got posters, stickers and a Leat cap from the sales girl who thought he was cute. I touched and felt all sorts of carbon bit and bobs and test rode 3 bikes. A lot of boxes were ticked and we both left there super stoked with our afternoon
  22. I don't think that one goes tubeless to save weight. Assuming one has wheels that are tubeless compatible (i.e. ignoring potential difference in wheel weight) Tubeless tyre (300g) + sealant (60-90g) + valve (10g) = approx 400g 'Normal' tyre (215g) + tube (60-90g) = approx 300g (welcome to check my assumptions and maths)
  23. AARRGGH! You beat me to it!
