Great race! The sand made for a few laughs, but otherwise very flat and fast. O and one guy got run over by a zebra, unfortunately no gopro footage, but the guy was fine!

Did not do it last year, wanted to do it this year, but now I dont know. Friend of mine rode over a turd and had to remove several hair weaves from his handlebars and those are deal breakers for me.

Has anyone done the FNB Platinum run at magalies? Any tips, thinking about the 24k?

sounds like a good idea, but doubt if it will actually happen. Im in if we can get something like that going.

it is a 21 on gravel roads, but do not be fooled, it is not they same as a normal road 21, it is very tough!

my first thoughts awell. We can say that their are not doing their part for they safety of cyclists, I mean they even condemned it.

I always laugh at the rugby experts which have all kinds of knowledge because the played a bit in high school and watch every game on TV. They are professionals, with professional people helping them, do you really think you can think of a solution/play/training program better that the people who have PhD's and years of experience. If your advice was any good then you would not be sitting here drinking a nice cold beer. BUT by saying this I am not saying you should just accept everything because the "know hows' said so, but just remember, they can back the things they say/do with actual knowledge and experience, with what can you back your brilliant advice?

The thing is they will always get the numbers despite the steep entry fee, the problem then comes that it loses some of its bragging rights because you cannot claim that you are an elite cyclists for finishing the epic, you just have allot of money, there are alot of other guys who can do the race physically.

Very sad, sorry for all the guys who spend all the money and time training. Do you guys think the top guys will still race/warm up?

Very glad to hear that he is ok. It saddensme that it has become so dangerous to cycle alone, to find someone to cycle with all the time is not always possible, with the results in staying at home or when out cycling you never relax and clear your mind.
