  1. Hi all Been a while since I last posted anything on here... Not the right page, but was wondering if anyone knows if I can commute from Somerset's side to the Stellenbosch Techno Park? I have seen a few Strava rides go that way, but was wondering if anyone thinks it's safe to use that route to commute?
  2. Was a good race. Was impressed with the organisation and I found the route enjoyable (except the soul destroying N14 ) Will be back next year and great prep for the 947
  3. I need this. My ass needs this
  4. Anyone gotten their seeding yet?
  5. People complaining about entry numbers and people complaining about the people complaining about the entry numbers. What a fun thread this turned out to be.
  6. Thanks for all the advice guys, really appreciate it
  7. Thanks for the reply. I swim 3-4 times per week, usually around 30-45 mins per session. Constantly exhaling (the drills I am doing is to get used to constantly exhaling, while staying relaxed in the water) I am breathing every second stroke I only started swimming laps in July. Is this something you get used to over time (i.e. you gain fitness in the water), or will I have that "a-ha!" moment once I get it right and be able to swim for long periods of time without losing my breath?
  8. So another noob question here Swimming... I am getting much better wrt my technique and my breathing, especially since I started doing drills to get comfortable in the water and swim without constantly being out of breath and feeling like I am drowning. However, still can't swim more than 4 laps continuous without having to stop for a few seconds at least to catch my breath. I am sure a bunch of you have had the same problem and how long will it take for me to start getting comfortable enough in the water to swim upward op 1000m without stopping?
  9. Very interesting, wonder if these would be legal in road races...
  10. Any. Buy the cheapest one you can find. Takealot.com has a supplement sale on at the moment, browse some of their options maybe. Just stay away from these crap mass gainers or meal replacement shakes.
  11. Make sure you eat enough protein, if not, supplement with Whey. It's cheap and easy to mix and your body should take it in pretty quickly. Nothing beats enough rest though and not every session should be a leg destroyer
  12. Makes sense. So guess I am stuck using the Activity app...
  13. Sure this has been asked on here before somewhere, so please point me in the right direction if it has, but is there a way to still use Strava to get vitality points? I don't want to always Cycle with my watch using the activities app on my Apple Watch to get points and I unfortunately do not have a Garmin device (using Bryton). Can I not use some third-party app which they will recognise?
  14. So? As a consumer, I can spend my money as I like. If it's cheaper online or somewhere else, why the **** would I buy the more expensive one?
