Continental Cross Kings...best tires I have used and I have tried many....

its quite safe to ride. All that has happened is some of the very thin outer coating has worn off, but the structure of the tyre will be intact. My Continental Cross Kings all look like that

The riding here in Greyton just gets better and better...and I believe there will be some awesome new routes opening up. There is something for everybody...from easy twisty flat rides for kids and family, fast sweeping singletracks, gnarly climbs and descents...and long beautiful endless gravel rides.. To do them all one would need to spend at least 4-5 days here...unlike other MTB areas around CT where everything is over in 1-2 days There is also an excellent bike friendly restaurant where they do minor bike surgeries, rent bikes and have some truly amazing food and coffees....probably the best restaurant in Greyton at the moment.

often they are small balls of oxidized spoke nipple residue ...happens with tubeless sealant leaking past the rim tape or infiltrations from the outside [rain etc] Usually harmless and you definitely cannot hear them while riding

I have been using these for a few years and have not yet found a better combo...on my Scalpel Si Front I use Cross King Racesport 2,35 and rear a Cross King Preotection 2.2 I have yet to find tires of this volume and this low weight
