  1. front lights in the daytime are waaaay more important than taillights
  2. Jehovah!!!!!
  3. do all 3 on one bike
  4. absolutely 😘
  5. ask your bike shop to do it...simple
  6. they look cool but use mineral oil so only compatible with Shimano levers unfortunately for me🫤
  7. Which post mount calipers are you looking at for your gravel bike? To use with Sram levers? thanks👍… if you could send a Temu link please
  8. a constant bright flashing light just irritates my cycling buddies and on a bright sunny day here in Greyton on gravel roads makes little sense... rather a bright flashing light coming on when a vehicle approaches so everyone behind me gets alerted...and the battery lasts 3x longer:) what is definitely more important and has been proven time and time again to be very useful is a bright flashing front light...do some googling
  9. yes I did see that but it requires a separate Light Network Connect IQ app on a Garmin device to work…. but from what I read it should work even with just the Garmin varia app on a phone
  10. no, not really, during the day the rear light is not really that visible in bright sunshine so I would rather it stays off and only come on and flash when a vehicle approaches...much more useful for my cycling buddies behind me and also saves the battery [which only lasts 6hrs in full ON mode] according to what I read it is perfectly possible for the light to stay off and only flash when a vehicle approaches, but I have not managed to get it to work
  11. I would like my Garmin Varia RTL515 to flash when a vehicle approaches but otherwise the light must stay off...I cannot get this to work [using a Hammerhead Karoo2] I have set the "flash on alert" using the Varia app and set the default mode to "light off" on my Karoo....but it does not flash on approaching vehicles Any ideas?
  12. another way to get around the limited clearance for larger chainrings on MTB frames is to use a 12 speed e-thirteen 9-46 or 9-50 cassette with a 36T chainring

  17. also a possibility but I cannot comment on that Ouplaas section since I have not ridden it😉
  18. I have ridden the route but in different sections and directions but it is perfectly doable with only a short section of tar from Stanford to the Napier road...a short section of N2 and a short section of tar on the R317 pass towards Montagu...see the routes below and link them up into a single route.. From Stanford you take the R326 Turn left onto the R316 and and after 300m take the dirt road to the right Coming up this dirt road from the R316 you turn right at Jongensklip to Klipdale so you can pop out on the N2 near Riviersonderend. From Riviersonderend its 5km of N2 then turn left onto a dirt road which takes you to the R317 to montagu Then left onto the R317 towards Montagu for about 11km...then right onto a dirt road all the way to Swellies https://www.strava.com/activities/8070859363 https://www.strava.com/activities/7511108841
