  1. The Geoid is being sold for R2k from a prominent local bike shop....I suppose if you want it immediately you can pay the premium..
  2. you can also get an e-Thirteen 9-46 cassette and use a 38T in front which will open up your choices...for the same gearing
  3. I used the Geoid for navigation on a 130km route and it worked really well...obviously does not have re-routing but it works well enough if you do not deviate from the route.. Garmin 130 is a joke compared to the Geoid
  4. all HT frames will accomodate a 2,2 easily...but a 42T is another matter entirely you could use a 0mm offset chainring in a boost frame but you would need to experiment
  5. weird, everyone I open on Aliexpress gives me free shipping to SA
  6. the Geoid makes the Garmin 130 look stupid… especially when you go and setup the screens , fields and other things everything is done on the phone app and then transferred to the Geoid , unlike the ridiculous button pressing and menu fiddling on the 130 I believe this Geoid is identical to the Magene unit which costs 50% more (Geoid being part of Magene) costs around R800 on Aliexpress , free shipping and then duties… arrived with Courier Guy😃
  7. works well with AXS
  8. trust me on this, the Geoid CC600 has a way better interface with the Varia than most other gps units I have tried
  9. None of those...rather get the Geoid CC600 from Aliexpress...works really well, with radars too and is a breeze to set up...colour too Like a Garmin 130 on steroids
  10. emmm...no...you need a minimum amount of orders to reduce that price to R1...
  11. pics or it never happened...
  12. Thanks @Jbr , will probably try them in 2.2 front and rear… they are well priced locally
  13. Has anyone tried the Specialized Air Trak 29x2,2 for gravel? I am currently using RaceKing Protection in 2,2 [55mm] and absolutely love them for the type of gravel riding I do...but they have become scarce and will need to replace them with something similar. I see a lot of good reports on the Schwalbe G-One RS Pros in 55mm but they are hellishly expensive and am not sure that fine tread will last very long in the centre portion of the tyre. Anything else you guys use in a 2,2 [55mm] ?
  14. there is absolutely NO lack of range on a 1x12 mullet setup with a 40T and a 10-50 cassette… the only problem one can have is finding a comfortable cadence riding in a peloton since some gears are spaced a little too far apart
  15. https://runographer.com/2015/12/homemade-sports-drink-for-the-ultimate-diy-running-nutrition/ I have been using this for about 4 years, identical to Tailwind at 1\4 the price
  16. yes the Hiserwa are good too… I wear a Med the Souke I seem to remember were a little baggy for me
