  1. Typical retailers of these tyres?
  2. Hi Hubbers, Quick survey - I need to purchase new road tyres (700c). A quick run down of what you would recommend I get? 700x23? 700x25? Brand etc etc. Max R500/tyre. Thanks!
  3. Slight tread hijack - any good doccies?
  4. Started re-watching Top Gear. Paying for an Amazon subscription is not going to happen!
  5. Bought a pair of Salomon Speedcross 3's this past weekend, but the White/Blue combo. What, a white shoe for off road running? ArE YoU NuTs ?!? BEEG mistake! Any shoe experts out there, please give me some suggestions on how to fix this mess!
  6. I dearly hope that's not you in the thong..
  7. Hi Hubbers! So, the COLD is officially here, and morning rides are becoming a 50/50 decision. Cyclists who prefer to "hibernate" during this period are labelled "fairweather riders". What's your opinion? Do you embrace the cold and ride? Do you prefer to go out (much) later and face traffic? Which side of the fence are you on?
  8. I think cyclists can have as many lights on their bikes as possible. You want to be seen. At this time of year it's not just about being seen, but seeing what's in front of you too. Pot holes, stray animals, even people.
  9. I did the 30km last year. Let me see if I can find my Endomondo link.
  10. Check the post on riding to the Walkerville race. I see you are based in the South. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/150315-riding-to-walkerville-mtb-2015-and-back/
  11. Doing both. Road seriously, MTB recreationally.
  12. I ride at both locations. When I feel like working on speed, I go Rievlei. If I feel like working on stamina, I go to Thaba. And for even more training I ride on my bike to either of the locations. Now since I discovered Parkrun, I will now be riding to Rievlei, doing the Parkrun, riding the Green route at Rievlei (maybe twice), enjoy a double espresso and get back on the bike to head home.
  13. Do you think you can meet us at that BP? https://www.google.com/maps/place/BP+Randhart/@-26.30155,28.116521,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xb84d8d590f331136?sa=X&ei=AyxcVeWYIcms7AbFtILICg&ved=0CIABEPwSMAs
  14. Website says it starts @ 8am. Technical, I think so, not a whole lot of climbing.
  15. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/9643916
  16. Howzit. My race (35km) starts at 8h15, I'd like to be there an between 45min to 1 hour before. Guessing it'll take me/us anything between 1-1.5hr to get there. So the latest we can leave the BP is 6am.
  17. Good Monday morning to all the Hubbers! So there's this race out Middleburg's side called the Tour De Farm, awesome name! Who will be doing it? Who has done it? Worth the trouble? Race is the weekend before the 947 CC. I think it might actually be the weekend of the 947 MTB CC.
  18. Better Call Saul. Splinter series from Breaking Bad about the crooked lawyer Saul Goodman. Truly excellent acting. The babe that comes in from ep3 onwards, LOVE the husky voice http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Better_Call_Saul
  19. No matter. R4V is a seeding event, D2D isn't. Simple as that.
  20. Hi Hubbers, I will be attempting a quasi-suicide ride the day of the Walkerville MTB Classic. I will be heading to the race (on my MTB) via Vereeniging Rd, racing the 35km, and riding back. It gives a round trip of ~105km. Anyone who is keen to join, starting point is in Potgieter Street, Alrode, by the BP (currently being revamped). Will be going through Alrode, Mayberry Park, down the Steps, along the railway up to Circus. Will be taking the same route back. Reason: TITS (time in the saddle). All the best to those who are taking part in the race.
