  1. Will PM you early next week to confirm logistics. If someone else can help you sooner - go ahead np.
  2. The missus's bike should arrive today or Monday - there are 6 bottles in the box: 4 Canyon Bottle 0.75L black2 Canyon Bottle 0.5L black They were ~cheap and I wanted to see what fit/look best. I should be able to get 2 not being used to Oudtshoorn area ~second half of July. Welcome to have it/take it - if willing to wait. EDIT - or post from CT to JHB if you dont visit the area soon.
  3. Sjoe! Absolute beautiful scenery there! Edit - fix the HTML
  4. Double - like button clicked
  5. This, I could not word it better myself. Except to add that it was a privilege (& awesome ) to have a second go at it as an adult.
  6. I like to focus on the half full part of the glass - allows me to blend in on coffee stops
  7. Agree on the dull colours... so I added some blue. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  8. The 3D printed ABS version would ~work, but it is definitely not as tight a fit as the original base. I don't think ABS is the right material for the 'horisontal bar' (one of the 3 printed components): It is a lot more flexible than the original - so it is much easier to put in (and probably to bounce out) Something that is more worrying is a diagonal corner-to-corner play when wiggle it with my fingers. This might rattle during a ride. This wiggle disappear if I press my finger from the bottom against the plastic beam part. It should be possible to improve both of these issues with a small change in the design - it require more 'meat'/material at the bottom of the 'beam' to make it thicker - There are space for that at the bottom. I will try to glue some other plastics on and see what difference it makes. Alternatively the beam part can be cut/filed from a flat piece of aluminium/steel and then glued in between the two bigger ABS parts. I will PM you my phone / whatsup number - I can send you pics/video of the behavior I tried to describe.. if you want
  9. I just ordered/paid for 3 in Black ABS for ~R110. Should be able to collect it in 2-3 days. Will confirm how it works. I realised this morning that Canyon charge ~$100+ just for delivery of the Garmin adapter Will scan ebay/other H36 options tonight. (Let me know if you got those you mention online please.) EDIT: https://www.amazon.com/REC-MOUNTS-AeroCokpit-adapter-CANYON1-GM-GP/dp/B01N9NWHZV EDIT 2: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/rec-mounts-type31-garmin-combo-mount-for-canyon-h11h36-aerocockpit-with-the-lower-part-adapter-310-gmgpjapan-import-i114965903-s118347962.html?spm=a2o4k.searchlist.list.1.33f21ebaMAQqQV&search=1 Jeezz these stuff is expensive - that Lazada option is ~R1200! Is it normal? The printing place has R&D/prototyping services as well. Will confirm onsite during collection how much they need to create a print file for a single item directly from H36 to Lyzene as well
  10. Something to note: make sure of ALL the accessories you might need from Canyon and order it with the bike. (Spare hangers for expected frame lifetime etc) Delivery fee for a Garmin Aerocockpit H36 adapter to Malaysia is $107! No way I'm going to pay that... The $35 for the unit itself is already expensive...
  11. Thanks, much appreciated. Did not even think about that. I emailed 3D printers nearby to estimate/price the second link.
  12. I have a version 9 and bought a version 10 recently for the wife. Firmware updates was done and absolutely happy with it. One frustration the last two weeks: how to mount on Canyon h36 aerocockpit. Only a Garmin mount is available. Any advice would be much appreciated Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. Correct. (fyi 10 days, with half of that stationary in the local custom clearance)
  14. Mine arrived pretty much the morning I got sick. Was very frustrating to just watch, but just could not get my body on a bike. Had a small fight with customs to convince them it fall in the 'racing bike' category, instead of 'other'... difference is 25% import tax vs 0%, so was willing to delay/argument about it. End up paying just the 6%GST, which frustratingly fall away Wednesday- was an election promise of the new government. If I only waited, but a month no one expected them to win Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  15. The physical remnants is easier to get rid off, but how do you manage the memories and experiences from an earlier life - It is not easy/impossible to erase a significant period of your life. I have a arrangement with wife 2.0 that if we end up in a place or moment where a memory, experience or funny moment hit the memory bank, I will rather share it than remember it only to myself with a smile. It came with the package...

    Who remembers?

    There you go Gen:
  17. This! And sometimes no words are even required: 18 years later I still remember the response from a random lady when I answered her question on how was my day - "well, I got divorced today" - her response was simply "oh no, can I give you a hug?" The best 3 seconds out of a very long terrible period in my life... never met her again, but for ever grateful.

    Who remembers?

I learned to drive in one of these It was my dad's first car as well, and he kept it until after retirement - fully restored and tip top condition.
  19. The situation(s) in & emotion(s) during each divorce is fairly unique. My experience of it is that: the last thing to compare it to is something found in a Sewende Laan script.
  20. This - I don't know these days, but around 2000-2005 you was writing by hand - which was then already a difficult task to do for me. Practice that beforehand - speed/accuracy etc. The test itself is not that difficult (and I'm a boertjie educated in an agricultural school )
  21. ...and according to Instagram on his way to saffaland
  22. Something like this? https://www.lazada.com.my/products/brand-new-3l-stainless-steel-digital-timer-220w-ultrasonic-cleaner-heater-i158993220-s189171146.html
  23. Poetry. Respect!
  24. Thanks. You have the "DT SWISS PR 1600 SPLINE", if I'm correct? It seem the disc model have the additional "RWS Plug In" mentioned here. I see now it will take a normal Allan key as well, so maybe i should not worry that much... https://www.dtswiss.com/en/technology/components/rws-technology/
  25. Beautiful I was actually looking over the spec this morning... The red is just so much prettier and get my blood flowing compared to the black/blue of the disk model. But then I'm ~ sold/keen on the disk brakes. decisions decisions... A question to you/anyone - the "DT SWISS PR 1600 SPLINE - THROUGH AXLE WITH RWS QUICK RELEASE, WHICH IS REMOVABLE AND CAN BE USED BOTH FOR THE FRONT AND THE REAR WHEEL" that is specked on the disc model - does the none-disk model also have removable quick release? Anyone with experience with this? - I dont know if I'm so keen on it, because the lever have to go into your saddle bag to use when fixing a puncture? (risk of getting lost?) (Something might be ordered soon if my weight challenge progress keep it current progress).
