  2. My fitness pal is great... The main benefit for me is the motivation it provides.... Before eating a big mac I always check how it's going to effect my fitness pal stats 9/10 I'll give it a skip... As for how much calories to burn, I find that if I burn over 1000 calories I see quick and steady results, anything less will keep the weight stable, but losses are much less noticeable. I eat around 1500 calories a day. I burn around 5000 a week in training. Seems to be working for me.
  3. I would say both... The amount of complaining that goes around here is ridiculous.... I normally just ignore things like this, but I just couldn't this time. I am by no means not guilty of driving like a ass hole... My bike rack always covers my number plate, but at least I have one... Even if it's behind my bike. I don't think this is intentional effort made by cyclists to hide their plates....

  5. When someone makes me a offer of R50.00 less on a R 2000.00 item that's worth over R6k new you may as well slap me in the face.... I guess that's what my second point was. I just don't get why people would even ask things like that.... To me, it's embarrassing, I would never do it.
  6. When I sell used goods I ask myself what's the lowest I'd be willing to take for the item, then I list it at that price. If someone wants to negotiate, I ask them politely to walk away. If you have faith in your price and it's fair, stick to it. I hate these oaks who think they negotiating king pins. I say R1000.00 you say R975.00... Get a life man.... What the hell is R25.00 or R100.00 difference going to make... Drives me insane... What do I look like ? Cajees?

  8. To buy a 5k 29er then upgrade the components is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.... What's the point of a full XT/X9X0 bike with a 3kg frame...... Buy yourself a a cheap bike, use it till you feel you are ready for a better bike and then buy yourself a better bike. Upgrading components is a bottomless money shredding pit, even more so when you trying to turn a cheap bike into a s-works... Remember, there's a massive difference between a entry level bike frame and even a medium spec bike frame in most brands.... No point building up on a cheap frame. For a newbie, I'd seriously advise you to avoid second hand....

  20. I drink vitamin pills because it makes my urine look radioactive! Honestly, I have never been someone to use vitamin pills or any supplements. Decided to give it a try a month back and I can honestly say I don't feel any real benefits..... When my bottles done I wont be buying any in a hurry.
  21. Dude, the thing you must remember is most deaf people struggle with balance issues as well.... So they will overall be slower compared to other people. Give the guy a break, everyone starts at the bottom. I think if you want to try go for the deaf olympics it's an achievable goal if you dedicate yourself towards it. Even if you only make it half way there, you'd have had more success than most of the guys who posted in this thread.

  23. That is a brilliant goal to have. If I had to offer you my real advice. For now focus on saddle time to build up a decent base. It doesn't matter how far you ride in distance, whats more important is the time in the saddle! Start off with 45min rides, when that becomes comfortable move up to 75min rides, when that becomes comfortable move up to 120min rides ect ect.... Once you have a base that can allow you to do 3 hours in the saddle without feeling like you just died, it's time to get yourself a coach. Remember the idea with base training is spending time in the saddle, you don't have to push yourself too hard. Try invest in a decent bike setup as well....

Most people with your disability have the same issues so don't let the people here make fun of you : ) The problem with this place is, most people here think you are joking, that included me !   25. Guy, I think what you doing is great! As long as you match your protein... Use protein shakes and do only legs when you go to gym! You will become a bestes Mtbers SA ever seen. Don't making the mistake and working your arms. It's wanted your time! Trained where it counts, put your timing on the gym in the legs only. Show other bicycle Ryder's wie die kznspyder is!!!!
