    RIFLE

and don't dawdle - some changes out for comment that will make owning a firearm even more onerous and pretty much impossible for self defence.
  2. Not surprising except that he is soooo stupid / dof/ boneheaded etc. I'm guessing micro dosing but DG and KE get bust should have been a warning to get off the juice and stay off. Eish.
  3. There are lost of jokes about Harleys (converting petrol to noise etc) but a smooth yuppie dirt biking friend who admitted to having one said he like potato, potato'ing around with his goose on the pillion off for lunch / weekend with mates. The only one I would consider would be an XR750 replica flat tracker.Could be a snorter but not practical.
  4. Lyndon Poskitt (in SA at the minute) was going to ride Erzberg on an Alta but all the bikes and batteries got nicked + van and photographic kit (in the UK ). Eventually the other rider in the team rode but didn't get too far due to lack of spare batteries; from recollection. He did have some fun on the e enduro bike tho.
  5. Eish Hairy my gut feel comment is that bike reliability and backup is still heavily in Jap favour in SA; as a KTM owner it pains me to say it. In order, I think, in order, it is Honda/Yamaha then Suzuki/Kawasaki (fewer dealers) then BMW then KTM/Husqvarna then Triumph/Ducati/Harley before other Italian, Chinese, Indian etc. But Chinese and Indian are catching up fast. Enfields are great in India I would say when you have some time and every village has a selection of shops with mechanics and spares. Disclaimer; I've only owned dirt bikes; KTM, Husky, Yamaha and Honda so it's just gut (and what I hear and read).

Jeez but the Binder brothers looked like they were on crack; all both of them.
  7. Bain of my life is tax clearance. Obtained in June 2018 (valid for 1 year); non compliant in AUgust, fixed in September. Currently non-compliant again. . No reasons given and usually something minor. One of them was owing 14c. I nearly cried.
  8. I have a cycling friend who does avo's in NZ; his comment - "avo's have been good to us". NZ is very organised in this regard with crop identification, board type marketing, picking and tree care. I understand theft is a sporadic issue with whole orchards being targeted, avo's being stolen before they are ready for picking.
  9. We are way off the KE topic here but seeing how quickly a media avalanche can destroy a person and/or business, I would seriously considering closing doors or some other drastic cost saving measure immediately such a storm broke.
  10. Ja thanks - he has a skin ailment so it's "peripheral" as I understand it.
  11. Ok, a question. I have a friend (seriously) who is on a fair bit of high strength medication for a particular ailment, possibly including steroids. No clue if they are on any banned list and he has recently started MTB and has entered his first event; he is fit, rides with mid pack guys but not a class winner (IMHO). Should he do anything "TUE" wise and what?
  12. Ja, great effort by the Boks and great result; for once anyway we were not pipped at the post. Reading internationally the NZ'ders and others (Oz etc) have been very open in their congratulations.
  13. I just hope Giba keeps going when you look at its surrounds and all strength to Chris and Steve for keeping the mtb side running well.

Sigh, Fenati's got history I believe but Canepa pretty much escaped and is still racing after doing something similar and causing the guy to crash. Other series though.
  15. of course not; that is madness; red mist stuff. But in Lesotho back then 2 guys nearly came to blows because one leant across and blew the other's hooter and the big black rubber bulb came off. Make of it what you want.
  16. Mal Fenati but back in the day aside from trying to splash those behind you at stream crossings and mud holes, tweaking another dirt biker's throttle, brake or kill switch was fair game. Also sneaking up behind, putting your foot on his exhaust pipe and accelerating generated some amusement.
  17. For those in Durban, well Pinetown/New Germany, I had to call in at Startline and saw they had quite a nice selection of older bikes - lots of small buzz bikes and racing bikes.
  18. "Holding onto the ball means nothing..........", er well yes (legally of course) except the other team really needs it to score points. From years ago I believe you cannot take Bok rugby really seriously if the administrators don't - they are looking after themselves. No central contracting and limited player development. I maintain any of the players could be coached to do much better through individual and small group drills etc. But what do I know - get an NZ assistant - maybe that Oirisher who went to Crusaders O'Gara something - never heard of him though
  19. You have my little (I don't buy much) support Chris and I'm guessing CL has set payment terms over time based on financial results.
  20. aye scotty; who remembers when I think it was careldup obviously told the boks not to kick; at all. It was against Arg and what a strange game (although we eventually won I think). Kicking obviously has its place but at least do it cleverly and stop if its not working. But, thank goodness, I'm not a true knowledgeable fan, just fair weather part time.
  21. He he I watched the first half mixed with motogp qualifying etc but 2nd half I decided - next time the Boks kick the ball away when they are 20 odd points behind - it's bed. 2 minutes later; if that.
  22. As to beating NZ; if we lose set pieces, particularly lineouts, to the Puma's, we have no hope against NZ; ask Oz.
  23. I say again have a look at Wilddogs adv bike forum; maybe Moto 101 for a bike etc. These will give you lots of options remember if you want to buy proper kit R10 000 is gone in a flash. Lots of 2nd hand stuff on these forums and guys who will ride with you, look at bikes with you etc.
  24. Have a look at the Wilddogs adventure bike forum but; be warned; it is addictive.
